Chapter 70 - Four Arms

Chapter 99 – Four Arms

Two days later, the tension had not faded. On the contrary, it had grown heavier, like a silent pressure that followed them everywhere. In the school hallways, glances lingered longer than usual, conversations stopped abruptly, and silence became uncomfortable whenever someone walked too close.

Sofía felt it tightening her chest. Sarah carried it like a knot in her stomach. Cristal sensed it as a constant, dangerous vibration beneath her skin.

None of them could keep avoiding the problem anymore.

Melanie.

They agreed to talk to her without the boys noticing. Not to fight—at least not at first—but to demand answers. To finally say everything they had been holding back.

During the break, they approached her calmly. Melanie noticed them immediately and, instead of reacting with annoyance, simply nodded.

"Let's talk," she said. "I was already planning to."

They went up to the rooftop.

The wind was stronger there, the sky heavy and gray. As soon as they arrived, Sofía turned to face her.

"What's going on with Titus?" she asked directly. "Why are you getting involved with him?"

Sarah stepped forward. "He's our friend. After everything that happened, you have no right to get close to him."

Cristal's voice was calm, but cold. "Especially after how you treated him."

Melanie reacted sharply, her tone rising. "And what about you?" she shot back. "You hit me. More than once."

The argument escalated quickly. Voices overlapped. Old wounds surfaced. Accusations piled on top of each other until control slipped completely.

Cristal stepped forward, warning her to stay away.

Melanie reacted instinctively, pushing her aside.

That was enough.

Something inside Cristal snapped.

Her breathing changed. Her posture shifted. A deep, animal sound escaped her throat.

Before anyone could react, she transformed.

A powerful wolf now stood where Cristal had been, white and gold markings glowing faintly along her back.

Melanie froze.

Then something unexpected happened.

She turned away, took a step… and stopped.

Her body changed.

Dark fur spread across her form. Her eyes burned with an unnatural violet light. A four‑pointed star appeared in one of them.

Sarah reacted instantly, transforming without hesitation. Sofía followed moments later, overwhelmed by fear and instinct.

Four wolves stood on the rooftop, facing each other, tension crackling in the air.

The sounds echoed through the school.

Damián was the first to arrive. He opened the door carefully and froze in place. He couldn't recognize anyone. Only shapes, sizes, eyes glowing with power.

Bruno and Walter arrived seconds later.

Walter wasn't limping anymore. He had run.

The moment he stepped onto the rooftop, his senses flared. The scent hit him hard. Not just wolf—but something familiar.

A perfume.

His gaze locked onto the black wolf with violet eyes.

Bruno reacted instantly, rushing toward Cristal, who was struggling to stand.

Before Bruno could reach her, Walter moved.

Without thinking, he stepped forward, placing himself between Melanie and the others.

"You won't touch my friends," he said firmly.

Melanie lunged.

Walter was thrown backward, hitting the ground hard before sliding to a stop.

Sarah cried out.

Bruno reached Cristal and lifted her carefully, his anger finally breaking free.

He transformed.

His presence was overwhelming. Massive. Dominant.

Melanie hesitated.

Cristal stood beside him.

Their eyes met.

Something ancient awakened.

They didn't separate.

They fused.

Energy surged. Their forms merged, growing larger, stronger. Four arms formed. Their combined presence towered over everyone.

Silence fell.

Even Melanie stepped back.

Titus arrived then, stopping short as he took in the scene.

He recognized Sarah. Sofía. Cristal.

But the black wolf…

It looked too much like him.

The same eyes. The same presence.

The alarm sounded.

Students screamed. Teachers rushed to evacuate.

And on the rooftop, surrounded by chaos and fear, the balance between them all shifted forever.

Nothing would be the same after that day.

---

The tension had reached its breaking point.

The air on the rooftop felt heavy, thick, almost unbearable. The echoes of growls still rang in everyone's ears, and the evacuation alarm continued to blare somewhere below.

Titus stepped forward.

He didn't shout. He commanded.

"That's enough," he said firmly. "Everyone out of wolf form. Now. Someone could see us."

His eyes swept over all of them.

"Return to human form. Immediately."

For a brief moment, no one moved.

Then Sofía was the first to react.

Her transformation was fast and precise. The gray wolf dissolved, and Sofía stood there, breathing hard, covered by a tight gray nanotech suit that formed over her body like a second skin.

"I'm done," she said, steadying herself.

Melanie was next.

The black wolf with violet eyes broke apart into dark particles, revealing Melanie in human form, wrapped in a deep red nanotech suit that glowed faintly. Her expression was still sharp, defensive.

"Happy now?" she muttered.

Then something unexpected happened.

The twins.

Bruno and Cristal looked at each other one last time.

The fused creature began to separate from the center, the energy holding them together fading. Slowly, two bodies emerged again, facing one another.

Within seconds, both stood in human form, dressed in clean, symmetrical white nanotech suits.

Bruno exhaled deeply. Cristal lowered her head for a moment.

And then—

Everyone looked at Sarah.

She hesitated.

When she finally returned to human form, there was no nanotech suit.

Nothing.

Sarah stood there completely exposed to the cold rooftop air.

Silence fell instantly.

Then—

"WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE WITHOUT A SUIT?!" Sarah shouted, crossing her arms tightly, her face burning red.

All the boys turned away at once.

Or at least, they tried.

Titus froze.

His mouth open. Staring.

"I—uh—well… I already saw you," he blurted out stupidly.

Sarah glared at him like she was about to explode.

"TURN AROUND, IDIOT!"

She smacked him on the head.

"SHUT UP!"

Titus grabbed his head, wincing.

"But—I've already seen you twice!" he said without thinking.

Big mistake.

"That DOESN'T HELP!" Sarah yelled.

Everyone burst out laughing.

Bruno bent forward slightly. Sofía covered her mouth, trying not to laugh. Even Cristal let out a quiet breath that almost sounded like a chuckle.

The tension finally broke.

Melanie stepped forward.

She stopped in front of Sarah.

"Give me your hand," Melanie said.

Sarah looked at her suspiciously. "What are you going to do?"

"Trust me."

After a moment, Sarah hesitated—then reached out.

In an instant, the red nanotechnology from Melanie's suit separated into glowing threads and flowed over Sarah's body, covering her completely.

The suit formed with bright, elegant lines, sleek and futuristic—something straight out of a sci‑fi series.

Sarah looked herself over. "…Wow."

"You're dressed now," Melanie said, releasing her hand.

Sarah let out a relieved breath.

"Thank you," she murmured.

Then she turned toward Titus.

"Hey… I'm sorry about before," she said. "I freaked out."

Titus smiled—way too fast.

"It's okay," he replied. "You do have a really nice—"

He didn't finish.

Sarah took off after him.

"GET BACK HERE!"

Titus yelped and ran across the rooftop, laughing.

"It was an accident!"

"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!"

The others watched as Sarah chased Titus from one end of the rooftop to the other, laughter filling the space that moments ago had been thick with fear and rage.

For the first time since everything had begun…

The rooftop felt human again.

Hook: What came next would be impossible to stop…
