Chapter 13 - Chapter 13- New Ship

A week passed quietly as Tyler and his ship sailed towards Kano Country.

This week was quite calm. Although they encountered some pirates, the battle was quite easy.

After a week of sailing, they were finally closing in on the gap with their target.

"Captain, Kano Country is in sight!"

Miya, standing on the deck of the boat, shouted.

Behind the room, Tyler stopped swinging his sword. He was wearing green pants and no garment on his chest.

Because this sword didn't have a scabbard, he had to put it down before walking to the front of the ship.

From a distance, they could see a massive city with thousands of people on the shores, several fishing boats, and some pirate crews.

He could see several mountain peaks, each connected by long bridges from a distance. But there was also a large valley in the middle.

"Miya, how much money do we have?"

Tyler asked while slowly putting on a shirt over his upper body.

"Seventy million berries! Originally, we had forty million, but those pirate crews contributed thirty million!"

Hearing her report, Tyler whistled.

"Damn! Pirates of the West Blue are quite rich. Do you think we can buy a better ship here?"

Frank spoke.

"Captain, there is a shipbuilding area in Kano Country. It provides ships for the country and its Happo Navy."

Hearing that name, Tyler slapped himself on the forehead and said.

"I almost forgot. Happo Navy is also known for its Vibrational Attacks. It's called Hasshoken."

"If you can find its training method, you can try to buy it. It will be very useful for your devil fruit."

"Especially since you can't create tremors with your vibrations."

Frank nodded. He didn't know about Happo Navy's technique, but knowing it, he didn't want to let go.

This week, he had tried several methods to add vibrations to his attack.

But none of them worked. At best, he could use vibration to make his attacks pierce his target.

But against a stronger opponent, it wouldn't work. His hand wasn't sharp enough.

He tried it with a weapon, and the vibration wasn't easier to control outside of his body, making the weapon unusable after a few tries.

Right now, his vibrational powers could only be used for escapes through walls, grounds, and stopping bullets.

That was the best thing he could. By using the force of vibration, he could counter the spin and speed of a bullet, forcefully stopping it.

He could also use it to break an opponent's sword, but only if they let him hold it for a while.

And, since enemies wouldn't do that, this move was only useful for bullets.

As their boat slowly reached the shore, Tyler looked at Miya and said.

"Don't keep anything valuable on the ship!"

Miya nodded and placed all of the valuables in a bag.

Except for irregular gold and jewelry, most were berries or gold bricks that could be put in a suitcase.

"Captain, are we going to the Shipbuilding area first?" Frank asked.

"Umm!"

Tyler nodded and turned towards a middle-aged man.

"Hello, Mr.! How can we reach the Shipbuilding area?"

"Are you here to build a pirate ship?"

The man looked at him and asked. He didn't recognize Tyler, but he knew the business.

"Is there a difference?" Tyler asked.

"If you are going to build a Pirate Ship, you need to go to Happo Navy Ship Production House."

"If you are going to build a normal ship, you can find other Ship Production Houses."

"Then, how can we reach Happo Navy Ship Production House?" Tyler asked.

"You see that mountain peak?"

The man pointed at the furthest mountain peak from their current location and said.

"That's where you can find it."

"Thank you, Mr.!"

Tyler thanked him before taking his crew to that location.

Only after he left, the middle-aged man slapped himself in the forehead.

"No wonder I couldn't recognize him. He is that fierce newcomer. But he was quite polite."

At this moment, not just him, some other people were also starting to recognize him.

Among them was a middle-aged man holding a Baby Den Den Mushi.

"Are you sure, Charles?"

"Yes, Captain Soro! Tyler has landed in Kano Country, and he is currently moving towards Happo Navy Ship Production House."

"Alright! Thank you for your hard work, Charles!"

"It's my duty, Captain!"

————————

G80 Marine Branch-

After a week, the branch building was rebuilt to its previous state. Soro was in his room, holding a microphone of a Den Den Mushi.

After talking with Charles, he made another call and waited.

"Captain Soro, have you discovered Pirate Tyler's position?"

"Yes, Vice Admiral Onigumo! He is currently in Kano Country. His goal is to build a ship. How long will it take you to reach here?"

"Don't worry, Captain Soro! We have already crossed the Calm Belt. We should be arriving soon. Keep an eye on their position."

"But do not start a conflict in that country. We don't want any international incident before I arrive."

"Yes, Vice Admiral Onigumo!"

After getting his orders, Soro placed the microphone back on the Den Den Mushi and caught the bounty poster of Tyler.

"He is finally here, Pirate. Enjoy your last days!"

He stood up and walked out of his room. He went straight to his subordinate and said.

"Get our warship ready! We are leaving for Kano Country."

"Yes, Sir!"

————————

Tyler, completely unaware of the threat chasing him, was having a discussion with a shipbuilding expert in Happo Navy.

"Do you want a ready-made ship or do you need a newly built ship?" The man speaking in front of him was the manager of this place.

He took out a notebook with several pictures and introductions of ships.

"Ready-made!"

Tyler answered without any hesitation. He took the notebook from the manager and started turning the pages.

The manager gave him a surprised look and said.

"Most pirates do not buy a ready-made ship."

"I don't want to keep changing my ship, but I know buying a ship with its keel made from Adam Wood isn't possible for me."

Hearing that, the manager raised his eyebrows and said.

"That's quite a good statement, sir! We, ship builders, also do not want our customers to damage their ship constantly."

"But Pirates often get in battles, and they also sail through the treacherous sea, so only ships made from Adam Wood can remain for a long time."

"If you have a budget, we can get our hands on Adam Wood to build you a proper ship."

Tyler raised his eyebrows upon hearing that. He was quite interested in Adam Wood, but he also knew it was hard to get.

Only through the black market could they find it, or from auctions.

Since Happo Navy was claiming it could find it, he was truly conflicted whether he should make it here or not.

But after a moment of thinking, he shook his head.

"I don't have enough budget for my desired ship. For now, we'll just buy a normal ship."

As he said that, Miya spoke.

"Captain, look at this ship! It's within our budget."

She was pointing at the picture of a large-sized caravel with three floors above the deck and three below the deck.

It had two masts, one main and one secondary. The rudder was located outside the first floor.

The entire handrail was painted red and yellow. There were six cannons, one at the front, one at the back, and two on each side.

The anchor was located on its front, near the figurehead of a tiger, attached to the handrail.

"Captain, this is a perfect ship for our journey! It has everything we need and more."

Miya excitedly spoke as she pointed at different designs of different parts of the ship.

Seeing this, the manager also spoke.

"That is a Red Tiger Model Ship. It is a good ship that can even sail in the Grandline."

"Most importantly, it's quite cheap as it only costs fifty million berries."

Hearing that, Tyler read every single detail of the ship before giving a nod.

"Yes, we will buy this ship! But we need it by tomorrow, and it must be in its best condition."

"Don't worry, you are our dear customer! And customer satisfaction is our motto. This ship was built nearly six months ago, and it hasn't been touched."

"It is perfect for your journey!"

The manager immediately showed a happy smile as they finalized the deal.

Tyler asked.

"Do you know where we can buy things that are mostly found in the Grandline?"

Hearing that, the man paused for a moment and whispered.

"If you are looking for a Black Market broker, I know a certain guy. Tell me your resting location, and I will send him there tonight!"

"We don't have a resting location yet. How about you send him near the shores of Eveready Town?"

"You should've already recognized my identity, right?"

Hearing that, the manager's gaze sharpened, but he quickly nodded.

"Of course!"

"Good! Let's hope we can meet our ship tomorrow!"

Tyler extended his hand, and the manager took the handshake before they left.
