**Again Tomorrow**
Lina woke up in her own bed at 6:40 a.m. with the ghost of his mouth still on her throat.
She had left his apartment at 2 a.m. when the power finally came back and the elevators started working again. They hadn't talked much on the way down. He had walked her to 7B, waited until she unlocked the door, and kissed her once—slow, like he was memorizing the shape of it—before going back upstairs.
Now she stood in front of the bathroom mirror tying her hijab the usual way and tried to look like a person who had not been bent over a couch twelve hours ago with her gamis around her waist.
Work was a blur. She answered emails. She sat through a meeting about Q3 numbers. Every time she crossed her legs she felt the faint ache between them and had to look down at her notes.
At 7:12 p.m. her phone buzzed.
**Adrian:** Generator guy came. Power's stable.
**Adrian:** You ate?
**Lina:** Not yet.
**Adrian:** I made too much soto. Come up.
