Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: The Annoying Tsundere Loli

Chapter 36: The Annoying Tsundere Loli

king looked wistfully at the moral advertisement on the plaza screen, his mouth twitching. "They said they'd make me a moral model, so how did I end up becoming a moral degenerate?"

"Sigh, what a sin."

He shook his head and sighed softly, then comfortably wandered the streets of M-City, hoping his attraction aura would work its magic, drawing a Demon Level Monster, or that his "extreme luck leads to decline" super bad luck would kick in, helping him find the Demon Level Monster he yearned for.

Half a day passed, and dusk settled. However, he hadn't received any information about Monsters. His phone, on the other hand, buzzed with news of Monster sightings in many other cities, yet M-City was unusually quiet today.

Perhaps, for ordinary people, peace was the greatest blessing, but for king at this moment, it was simply... terrible.

Bang!

Just as his mind wandered, a restaurant window ahead suddenly shattered, and a figure was flung out from inside. He instinctively reached out to catch them, and oh, a soft body landed in his arms!

"Huh, a familiar person."

king stared blankly at the person in his arms: dark green short hair, fair skin and beautiful features, a slender waist and ample breasts, curvaceous and tall, dressed in a dark green dress.

This is... this is Hellish Blizzard? Tatsumaki's younger sister?

He was stunned, foolishly looking up at the sky. What was happening? Was his luck off the charts today? Hellish Blizzard had fallen into his arms? Oh no, would Tatsumaki kill him if she found out?

"Cough, cough, be careful... careful of the bounty criminal!"

Hellish Blizzard's face was slightly pale, as if from overusing her powers. Her words were weak and powerless, extremely frail.

king blinked, "Bounty criminal?"

"You damn hussies, daring to cross your grandpa! Today, I'll make sure you never return. This old man is going to 'devour' you."

With a bang from the restaurant, the door was instantly smashed open. A tall, burly and formidable man swaggered out from inside. The strong man's bald head had two tufts of hair at the back, resembling sunflower leaves. On his face, above his left and right eyes, were two ghastly, stitched-up scars. His entire body was muscular and powerful, gripping a large axe, his gaze fierce and cruel.

"Who are you?"

After the bounty criminal exited, he froze for a moment, seeing the damn woman he wanted to kill in king's arms.

king glanced at the dazed Hellish Blizzard, then helplessly delivered his opening line: "I am a hero by sheer luck!"

Damn it, no Demon Level Monsters, but I run into a bounty criminal instead? This isn't the kind of challenge I'm looking for!

"A hero by sheer luck? What kind of arbitrary setup is that? Didn't you bribe the author with a red packet?"

(Huh, haven't I used this line before? Lol)

"Oh, too much trouble."

king, holding Hellish Blizzard, turned to leave: "If there's nothing else, I'll be going now. I'll treat you to a meal sometime."

"Oh, okay, huh, wait a minute, kid, are you trying to trick me? Hand over that damn woman in your arms, or I'll chop you down too!"

The bounty criminal gripped his large axe with both hands, glaring fiercely at king, clearly on the verge of chopping someone down at the slightest disagreement. As expected of a bounty criminal, killing was as simple as drinking water to him, with absolutely no psychological burden.

"This..."

king looked at the bounty criminal hesitantly. Using a Vaccine Man Card on him would be too wasteful, and he wouldn't gain a single thing from it. What a loss!

People do business that kills, but no one does business that loses money!

He made up his mind: he couldn't waste a Card on this bounty criminal!

"You can go! I won't kill you!"

king, carrying Fubuki, turned and walked away. "Big bro, you should quit while you're ahead! Don't force my hand, or both you and I will suffer!"

"Damn it, kid! How dare you look down on me? This old man is a B-Class bounty criminal! In a while, I'll be able to become A-Class! Argh! You've infuriated me! I'll chop you to death as an early celebration for my future A-Class promotion!"

The bounty criminal was enraged. He forcefully raised his large axe with both hands and charged fiercely at king.

"Sigh, in the end, I can't avoid it."

king sighed regretfully, his eyes darkening. He raised his palm, aiming it at the bounty criminal, ready to expend a Vaccine Man Card to release an energy blast and pulverize the bounty criminal.

The bounty criminal's face was ferocious as he roared, "Die!" His large axe was raised high, its momentum surging.

Whoosh~

Just then, the sky suddenly darkened. A car plummeted from above, heading straight for the bounty criminal.

Boom!

A thunderous crash erupted. The car smashed onto the bounty criminal's body. The bounty criminal spat out a large amount of blood with a "pffft", crushed beneath the vehicle, eyes wide, and instantly croaked.

king stared blankly at the sudden turn of events, not having processed what happened.

"Hmph!"

A haughty hmph came from the sky, pulling king back from his daze.

"It's you?"

Terrible Tornado stood with her arms crossed, hovering in mid-air. She glanced at Fubuki. "What's this, going out on your own before you've even learned much, and still needing me to clean up your mess."

king sighed in relief: "Ha, perfect. Here's your sister, saves me the trouble."

"Ah~ it's *you*? King?!?!" Tatsumaki only then noticed king, and she roared, "Let go of my sister!"

"Oh."

king released his grip.

Thud!

Fubuki naturally dropped to the ground.

"Hiss~"

The heavy fall made the unconscious Fubuki groan in pain. Her delicate eyebrows furrowed slightly, and a hint of agony showed on her fair, tender face.

"King, you..."

Tatsumaki was furious. Pointing at king, she shouted exasperatedly, "I challenge you to a duel!"

"No time, next time!"

king refused directly and decisively. His current mission was to find one or more Demon Levels to use up his Vaccine Man Cards. He had no time to play house with Tatsumaki.

Speaking of which, why would this girl think of dueling me? They say Metal Bat is a sis-con, and you, Tatsumaki, can't escape this label either—a total sis-con!

What he didn't know was that Tatsumaki had long harbored the idea of challenging him, but it had been thwarted several times.

Tatsumaki crossed her arms, looking down at king: "Hmph, what's this, King, you really are a cowering turtle! And you shamelessly claim to be the Strongest Man? Yes, shameless! Such a gutless fellow should just give up being a hero, shouldn't he!?"

"Oh."

king replied with a single, indifferent word and turned to leave.

"Ding! There are convertible Cards nearby. Host, please proceed to convert them." The System's icy prompt sounded.

"Hmm? Cards?"

king glanced at the bounty criminal in surprise. So, it wasn't just Monsters that could be converted into Cards; bounty criminals could too.

Tatsumaki pointed at king and threatened, "Hey, you're so rude! You ignore me every time, damn it! Do you believe I can crush you with a meteor?"

"Oh."

king again replied with an indifferent word, walked up to the bounty criminal, and reached out to touch him.

"Ding! Congratulations, Host, you've obtained a Villain Card: Heavy Axeman!"

His eyes lit up. Impatiently, he asked the System: "System, can Villain Cards be used to recharge Monster Cards?"

"Ding! The two are interchangeable and can be used with each other."

"Perfect."

Although he hadn't found a Demon Level Monster, at least he had temporarily solved the problem of the Vaccine Man Cards expiring.

"Hey, King, I'm challenging you! I'm going to knock you off your pedestal as the strongest."

Tatsumaki stood with hands on hips in mid-air, looking down at king, "Let's duel!"

"Lunatic."

king glanced indifferently at the tsundere old loli.

Tatsumaki pointed at king: "What's this, you really are a cowering turtle! You don't even have the courage to accept my challenge, you—coward!"

king pulled down his baseball cap, his hands tucked into the pockets of his white hoodie. He turned and headed home: "Alright, since you're so persistent, then I'll compete with you. Let's see who can eliminate a Dragon Level Monster in the fewest days."

This girl is so annoying. I might as well make a casual bet with her. Winning or losing doesn't matter, as long as I can get rid of her. As for why choose Dragon Level, it's naturally because Dragon Levels are rare. That way, the bet might be prolonged for a while, and this girl would bother him less, leaving him in peace.

Tatsumaki perked up, excitedly saying, "Good, it's a deal."

With that, she waved her small hand, using her superpower to pull Fubuki into mid-air. Her entire body glowed with green light, and with a whoosh, she vanished before King.

"Annoying loli!"

king continued to stroll leisurely down the street, still not giving up on his fond hope of encountering a Demon Level Monster.
