Chapter 51 - rena determination

Rena slowly turned her face away from the half-monster males, now weakened and scattered around the area.

Her breathing was still light.

No burden.

Not even stress.

Even so, her eyes remained sharp, her left hand clenched tightly while her right hand rested her sword on her shoulder.

As if the choice she had made was something she had already considered and did not regret.

But when her gaze fell on Tina and Claire,

her expression changed slightly.

Her cheeks lifted faintly.

Not a full smile,

but clear enough to see.

As if she had just realized that the battle was truly over.

Dust still floated faintly behind her.

Then, slowly, Rena walked toward Hero Claire and Hero Tina.

Her great sword, still in her right hand, slowly vanished like any ordinary contract weapon.

And in the midst of that ruined landscape,

Claire stood silent for a moment, watching her.

While Tina just blinked slowly,

still trying to process everything that had just happened.

And Rena could only accept all of this with an open heart—especially the smells left by this battle…

The smell of ordinary human blood,

The various smells of the half-monsters,

And the choices of the three humans, now truly fulfilled.

Then, with steady steps, Rena's eyes sparkled, and she muttered briefly, glancing around.

This is still the beginning…

I have to…

I have to find him…

Then Rena shifted her gaze back to Hero Tina and Hero Claire,

still walking with that small smile.

She let out a brief sigh between those steady steps.

And now, the morning sunlight with its dew illuminated everything—including Rena's body, now bathed in sunlight. Especially her face and mouth, now so brightly lit that Claire and Tina, facing away from the sun, had difficulty seeing Rena clearly.

Then, with both hands clenched tightly, still looking at Hero Claire and Tina—obscured by the sun—Rena's gaze remained unchanged.

Yes… sharp.

Then Rena said in her heart.

I have to see it for myself!!!!

And now, for a moment,

everything had returned.

And now, the three humans were determining which direction they would take after all of this.
