The Octagram meeting continued deep into the night.
The eight Demon Lords discussed the situation on the other side of the world with growing interest. Their spies had brought back detailed reports, and the pieces were slowly forming a worrying picture.
Milim Nava tilted her head, kicking her legs under the table.
"Hey, hey~ Do you guys think it's the same Goddess who wiped out an entire kingdom a few centuries ago? The one who got super mad and dropped divine punishment from the sky?"
Ramiris floated up on her tiny wings. "It has to be! That Goddess of Light is always so self-righteous. If she's the one behind the heroes this time, and she's already making enemies with that human called Luo Feng… things could get messy fast."
The other Demon Lords shared what their spies had gathered — rumors of the Goddess throwing away a sixth summoned hero, the massacre in Eden Village, the King's arrogance, and how one ordinary man had managed to kill a blessed hero despite being only B-rank.
After several hours of discussion, Rimuru Tempest leaned back in his chair, silver-blue hair shifting as he crossed his arms.
"It doesn't feel like it's the same Goddess acting alone," he said thoughtfully. "There might be another god pulling strings behind her. The way the heroes behaved… it's too sloppy, too emotional. Almost like they were being used as tools."
Guy Crimson's crimson eyes narrowed with dark amusement. He rested his chin on his hand and looked around the table.
"What do you all think will happen to that human called Luo Feng? He's going up against an entire kingdom, four remaining heroes, and a Goddess. What are the possibilities?"
A few voices spoke up immediately.
"He'll probably die," Dagruel rumbled.
"He might escape and go into hiding," Luminus Valentine added coolly.
Then Shion — Rimuru's loyal secretary with striking purple hair and an impressive figure — slammed her fist on the table with excitement.
"No way! He already killed one hero who was stronger than S-rank while he himself is only B-rank! That proves he has real power and potential. If he's lucky, he'll survive, kill the other four heroes too, and might even start a huge change on that side of the world. Maybe he'll even challenge the Goddess herself!"
The Octagram fell into a brief, thoughtful silence after Shion's passionate declaration.
The discussion about the man named Luo Feng — the unblessed farmer who had been thrown away by the Goddess — continued late into the night.
