The next day, after breakfast at the inn with Lina and Suki, Luo Feng returned to the Adventurers Guild.
He found the Guild Master in his private office on the upper floor. The elegant elf welcomed him warmly and invited him to sit.
"Guild Master," Feng asked calmly, "may I ask about this world? How many kingdoms are there?"
The Guild Master leaned back in his chair, silver hair catching the light from the window, and began to explain in a clear, measured voice.
"There are seven major human kingdoms in total. The Dragon Kingdom you came from is one of them. The other six are spread across this half of the continent. Each has its own ruler, culture, and strengths. Our Holy Kingdom of Elysium is known for healing and divine protection. Others specialize in magic, military power, commerce, or ancient knowledge."
He paused for a moment, then continued.
"As for the demons… there is only one Demon Lord who appears every few centuries. When he rises, he gains control over most demons and monsters across the land. His awakenings always bring great wars and suffering, but humanity has always managed to push him back — usually with the help of heroes summoned by the Goddess of Light."
Feng listened attentively, then asked the question that had been on his mind.
"What do you mean by 'this half of the world'?"
The Guild Master's expression became more serious. He looked directly at Feng and spoke slowly.
"The world is divided into two."
He stopped there, letting the weight of those words settle in the quiet office.
