Inside the grand royal palace, the atmosphere was heavy with resentment and simmering rage.
The King sat on his throne, face dark and brooding. The four surviving heroes stood before him, their newly regrown limbs still slightly tender from the Church's healing magic. The loss of their comrade — the one who had been cut in half by Luo Feng's dagger — still burned like an open wound.
"I will never forget that humiliation," the golden-haired hero leader growled, clenching his fist. "That worthless farmer dared to raise his hand against the Goddess's chosen. He killed one of us. He made us look weak in front of the entire kingdom."
The King's eyes narrowed with cold fury. "He must pay. Not just him — anyone he loves. His new woman, that little girl he travels with… we will make him suffer the same pain he inflicted on us."
At that exact moment, a spy in dark robes slipped into the throne room and knelt before the King.
"Your Majesty, I bring news," the spy reported. "Luo Feng has left the Dragon Kingdom. He is traveling with the girl named Lina and the child Suki. They are heading toward the Holy Kingdom of Elysium."
The golden-haired hero's lips curled into a cruel smile.
"Good. We will prepare. We will grow stronger. In one month, we will set out for the Holy Kingdom. Once we find them, we will assassinate his new wife and that little girl right in front of him. Let him watch everything he cares about die… just like he watched his village burn."
The other three heroes nodded, their eyes gleaming with vicious intent. The King leaned forward on his throne, a satisfied smirk spreading across his face.
"Make sure it is painful. Make sure he suffers. The Goddess will protect you. Go and become even stronger. When the time comes, bring me their heads."
The four heroes bowed deeply.
"As you command, Your Majesty."
Back on the long road toward the Holy Kingdom of Elysium…
Luo Feng, Lina, and Suki continued their steady journey. The days were filled with riding, simple meals, and quiet conversations. Lina's pregnancy was still early, but she was already glowing with a soft, hopeful light. Suki had become much brighter, often riding between them and chattering about what the new kingdom might look like.
None of them knew that, far behind them in the Dragon Kingdom, the King and the four remaining heroes were already plotting their revenge — planning to hunt them down and strike at the two people Luo Feng still had left.
The road ahead was long and peaceful for now… but danger was slowly beginning to follow.
