He walked into his house with his hands in his pockets as he put on a fake smile.
To make his own mother to be impressed with him he had to put up with this useless act.
"Dad!!!" He heard the little voice .
He saw the little girl running towards him with a huge smile on her face.
He stared at the child
One of the reasons why he was even putting up with this marriage was because of her.
Even if she wasn't his daughter,he just couldn't let the girl go through the suffering of not having a father by her side .
He grew up that way.
So he'd rather not let another child go through that distress.
Smiling widely he carried her in his arms.
"How's my baby doing." He pinched her cheeks making her giggle as she wrapped her hands around his neck
"Daddy can we go for ice cream now... I wanna eat ice cream." She pouted.
Her behavior reminded him of someone.
There was a girl who had the exact same behavior when she didn't get what she wanted.
She'd either cry or behave childish.
"Yes." He simply replied.
The question would be does he actually love that girl.
He didn't know.
All he knew was that she had to pay for the humiliation.
"Honey you're back." He so called wife walked towards him with a happy face.
But she was met with a very cold indifferent face.
She looked down immediately, she has always been trying to keep up with his coldness towards her for 6 years now.
Ever since she became pregnant with little Xiao Xiao.
"I made dinner." She forced herself to speak.
But he walked past her without a word .
If only she knew that he already figured out that the little girl wasn't his daughter, she'd have already started digging her grave.
But to her, she felt that she had successfully lied to him and she swore to make that lie stay hidden.
She has a man that every woman dreamed of having.

He walked towards the kitchen and made the girl seat on the kitchen counter.
"Sweetheart.... Daddy's gonna give you ice cream but not too much." He said ignoring the look his wife gave him.
"Did you give her the medicine. " He asked with his attention still on little Xiao Xiao.
"Yes I gave it to her ... And she was very excited to have it..... And also." She wanted to try and make a conversation but.
"I want Xiao Xiao to sleep in my room with me today...... I don't want to see you there even in the morning." He carried the girl in his arms again with a big bowl of ice cream.
With that he walked away leaving her standing there with a sad EXPRESSION.
Her eyes went to the dinner she served on the dining.
He never touched her food.
Didn't even taste it by mistake ...
Infact he barely ate at home too, she was just the one doing everything.
"Why won't you just look at me ." She said to herself.
"Is there another woman out there." She asked as she looked at herself.
She was a very beautiful lady.
It even took a lot of effort for him to say her name as if she was the most disgusting thing on planet earth.
"Whoever she might be I'd kill her..... No one can Destroy my family. "

THE NEXT DAY

The set was already prepared as the first scene was supposed to be in the forest.
It was already 6:30 and the whole production team was already there getting ready for the first scene.
They were just going over the script and getting their materials ready for shooting.
But then all of a sudden someone appeared.
She was busy handing out gifts as she was dressed in just her joggers and sneakers. Her long hair waving as she walked with a huge smile on her face.
Every staff she came across would stare at her in admiration as she was indeed a beauty to behold.
Her white teeth adding to her beauty even more.
"Esther is really beautiful... Yeah we are so glad she'll be the leading actress for this movie." They whispered amongst themselves.
Not even aware of the changes.
Everyone loved the fact that the movie would gain more POPULARITY before it is even being released Online and the main reason is gonna be solely because of the female lead.
And that means double popularity for the drama when it gets released.
That put their mind at ease because they knew they wouldn't have to spend extra or work extra just to promote the movie series.
"Thank you everyone for your love and support." She smiled as she spoke making them admire her the more.
Soon, while she was busy trying to attract attention, one of the makeup artists walked over to her and mistakenly bumped into her making the things she held fall to the ground.
Esther's face changed immediately as if the mask she wore also fell to the ground.
"I'm so sorry." The gril apologized but Esther stared at her from head to toe in disgust.
Then she suddenly remembered she was outside so she couldn't misbehave.
"That's okay... Its must have been a mistake." She faked a smile.
"Please let's go start your makeup and styling process." The girl said not even noticing the bad looks Esther gave her.
With that the both walked out and everyone returned to their duties.
Getting ready for the first scene.
Right at that moment Cheng Xiao walked in breathing heavily as she had to run around to find the place.
The location was a small village and she wasn't provided with any transportation or anything so she had to find it on her own.
Immediately she arrived everyone turned to look at her again.
They recognized her she was the mad girl who thought she could win the audition from the almighty Esther Williams.
"This crazy girl is here again, did she loose her brains or something why is she here.??" They began to whisper but she was still trying to catch her breath not even bothered.
" She must have lost her way. "Another person said.
Soon one of the set workers approached her.
" Why are you here are you part of the staffs or something. "The man asked with his arms folded.
" I was informed to come to this location for the first scene of the white lotus I am the lead actress. "
