Chapter 5 - Farms

Teku ran, firmly holding Kento's hand.

Kento screamed, "MR. TEKU, PLEASE LEAVE IT! IT HURTS! GWAA!!!"

While Teku just continued to scold him, "Don't give me that innocent kid look. If you were revealed to be from The Earth, both of us could've died.

Kento tried to release himself from Teku's grip, but it didn't work, "ATLEAST TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO!!!"

Teku stopped near a big garden, "That's my strawberry farm. Now go ahead and harvest them all. I don't mind if you consume some, but ensure not to eat much." he finally released Kento out of his grip.

"Okay- Huff... Huff... Mr. Teku" Kento ran drastically over one lane and harvested all the berries without eating one. By the time he had finished harvesting one and a half lanes, he sat down, feeling dizzy.

"Come on, it's not even been a quarter of the farm!" Teku shouted, sitting on a rock far away.

"OI KENTO! WANT SOME HELP!?" And by the time the dialogue was over, Lechop was already standing in front of Kento with two baskets of harvested strawberries.

"AMAZING!" Kento looked towards Lechop.

"Be cool, kid! Live young and live wild." Lechop looked sideways, "My nose says..." He drew out a blade from his belt.

"Wait, could you actually handle a blade?" Kento asked.

"Very well."

A pink colored demon lunges in and grabs Lechop's hand.

"MR. LECHOP!" Kento shouted as Teku dragged him away.

"That isn't cool," he cut the demon in half with a single slash in a slipt-second, "Oh. Do you even have any power?" The half-cut demon started to rejoin itself again. "Man, I just don't want to exorcise the ghoul out of you. Why do you ghouls capture dead bodies and turn them into demons all the time?" Lechop put his blade forward, and the demon vanished into nothing.

Teku and Kento stood there, far away, "What the hell was that?" Kento looked confusedly towards Lechop.

"It's my duty to save the citizens of this kingdom. Well, be good with the strawberries." Lechop vanished.

Teku grabbed Kento's wrist again and ran away with the two baskets of fruits. 'So Lechop... Saved me.'

As they approached the cottage, they saw a person dressed in black clothes waiting outside the house, staring towards the gate.

"Mr. Teku, who is this now?" Kento asked.

"Why do you want to know?" Teku refused.

"Because I want to." Kento remained stubborn.

"He's Elme. Another patroller who comes next to Lechop in rankings. Compared to Lechop, he's more elegant and strategic."

"Really?" Kento smiled. He ran towards Elme and tapped his back.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU!" Elme turned back.

"I'm Kento, Mr. Teku's distant relative. By the way, Mr. Elme, don't you think Lechop is amazing?"

"No. He is just an idiot with some rare physical abilities." Elme said, frustrated.

"And why do you think so?" Kento protested.

"Leave that and bring Mr. Teku here first before I decide to kill you."

Kento started sweating.

"No worries. Go for what you want." Teku reached the cottage gate.

"The king wants Kento for some work. He requested you to send him to the palace as soon as possible." Elme explained.

"Sure then. Take him with you right now." Teku agreed.

"Come here now!" Elme took Kento along with him.

They both went through the crowded market, near a cotton industry, the residential area, then to a deserted road. "Mr. Elme, where are we going next?" Kento kept asking Elme.

"SHUT UP AND FOLLOW ME STUPID!" Elme snapped back.

"O-kay." Kento was scared as hell.

Half an hour of walking, getting and questioning his existence later, Kento finally saw it...

The castle was tall as twenty big oak trees stacked on top of each other. It was made with white and blue bricks and drawings representing the kingdom were inscribed on to the marbles that shined majestically under the sun.

After entering the marvelous gate made of gold, they got inside the castle. Elme directed him to the king's royal hall. The king, along with his ministers were sitting and discussing something over salt.

"Your Majesty, here he is, Kento." Elme bowed to the king.

"Oh! Kento! I actually brought you on Lechop's wish. He said you'd come in work for him and the castle. So, go to the twenty-third floor, in room number thirty-two." The king ordered.

"As your order." Kento ran towards the staircase which was huge. He took the first step and "AAA!!" He screamed loudly.
