Chapter 76 - CHAPTER SEVENTY SEVEN

"I have a question please." Elena spoke with a smile. "Go ahead please." "Are we allowed to use all the features here? Elena asked coyly. "Yes sweetheart, we have access to everything here during our stay." Aaron answered instead. "Really? Isn't that too expensive?" Elena asked with wide eyes in shock. "My God Elena, you seem to forget the men to whom we are married. This is nothing to Aaron Wilson, and you deserve this. I blame him for not making you get used to our way of life sooner. Come on, you and Aaron get the grand master suite. George and I are downstairs too, I'll take you to your room." Isabella spoke, circling the shoulders of her friend with a smile, giving Aaron the stink eye when she spoke about him, before taking her friend away. "Can Elle and I share a room please?" Steph asked with doe eyes. "Only if Ellen doesn't mind." Aaron answered, looking at his daughter. "Elle, would you like to share a room with me?" Steph asked, bringing Ellen's attention to her. She nodded with a dim smile. "Alright then, you all go get some rest, we'll meet for dinner in a few hours. You kids are upstairs, and we are down." George said when Ellen nodded, each one retiring to their room, including Dr. Jenomiah.

Ellen laid on the bed, upset minded, and Stephanie sighed. "Elle, are you okay? Why don't you sleep a bit." Steph asked and instructed with concern. "The first time I stood at an airport, flew across the country and sat in first class was with Henry, on my birthday." Ellen began calmly, alarming Stephanie. This was the first time she allowed thoughts of him to come to her, and out of her lips, aside from her therapy sessions. "Elle." Steph called her name with caution. "Sitting in the plane today reminded me of that. Did I tell you how special he made my birthday? At the Eiffel tower, we danced, we kissed, and he asked me to be his…" Ellen continued with a weird smile that made Stephanie uncomfortable. She stood to stand by the window reminiscing, when Steph cut her off. "Ellen that's enough! Why are you even thinking about this?" Steph charged, annoyance in her voice at Ellen's sudden weird behavior. Ellen, who seemed to be in a different world didn't mind her, but continued. "Steph, do you have his number? I think we should call him; he doesn't like it when I don't call him." Ellen said, dashing for her phone. At this moment, Stephanie got scared. Ellen was acting like she was insane, as if nothing ever happened these past few months. "Ah! It's not going through. Steph, give me your phone please. I think my network is not working." Ellen exclaimed in frustration, reaching for Stephanie's phone, but the girl withheld it. "Ellen, I think you should sleep. You are tired." Stephanie said instead, but the stubborn girl refused vehemently. "No, no you don't get it. Haha, see the thing is he got upset with me when I had not called him during the vacation. I have to call him, he must be upset, that's why he hasn't contacted me. Just let me call him, he will clear everything. I'll tell him of the nightmare I had, and he'll assure me he wouldn't do such a thing. He…" *Slap*, Stephanie slapped Ellen really hard with tears in her eyes. Ellen was getting too hysterical, and she had to slap her out of it. Both girls sat to cry, when Ellen came back to her senses. "Why? He said he loved me. You confirmed it, so did Clara. I should have listened to you. How foolish I was to believe he would fall for a girl like me. He played with people in his class, what made me think he'd want a girl from the slums? How could I let my guard down so easily? ..." Ellen spoke, but had to pause as tears choked her. "I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you from this pain. I know our situation is different, but I feel your pain, Elle. Kobby is just really good at manipulating people. He knew Clara and I being in support of your relationship would cement your feelings and trust in him. I'm so sorry." Stephanie apologized amidst tears. They cried for some time, Ellen deteriorating to how she was when this whole thing started, rendering her past therapy useless. They finally went to sleep, waking up later for dinner with the family.
