Long before the creation of human beings, the universe already existed in a form known only to Allah. The heavens and the earth, the angels made from light, and the jinn made from smokeless fire were already created. Among all of these creations, Allah had a special plan—to create a new being who would become His representative on Earth.
Allah informed the angels of His decision:
"I am going to place a خليفة (vicegerent) on Earth."
The angels, who were pure and always obedient, respectfully asked:
"Will You place in it someone who will cause فساد (corruption) and shed blood, while we glorify You and praise You and declare Your perfection?"
Allah replied with wisdom beyond their understanding:
"I know that which you do not know."
This marked the beginning of a new chapter in creation—a creation that would possess free will, intelligence, and the ability to choose between right and wrong.
The Creation of Adam (AS)
Allah created Adam (AS) from clay, from soil gathered from different parts of the earth. This is why human beings have different colors, shapes, and characteristics. The clay was molded into the shape of a human being, but it remained lifeless until Allah breathed into it from His روح (spirit).
At that moment, Adam (AS) became alive—the first human being, the first prophet, and the father of all mankind.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) later explained that Adam was created in a special way, honored above many other creations. Allah gave him intelligence, knowledge, and the ability to speak.
The Honor Given to Adam (AS)
After creating Adam (AS), Allah taught him the names of all things. This knowledge was something that even the angels did not possess.
Allah then presented these things to the angels and said:
"Tell Me the names of these, if you are truthful."
The angels replied humbly:
"Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what You have taught us."
Then Allah asked Adam (AS) to inform them of the names, and Adam did so perfectly. This demonstrated his superiority in knowledge and the special honor Allah had granted him.
As a result, Allah commanded the angels to prostrate to Adam (AS) as a sign of respect—not worship, but honor.
All the angels obeyed immediately.
But one among them refused.
The Refusal of Iblis
Among the beings present was Iblis. Although he was not an angel (he was from the jinn), he had been elevated to be among them because of his عبادত (worship).
When Allah commanded prostration, Iblis refused arrogantly.
He said:
"I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."
This was the first act of arrogance and disobedience in creation.
Allah asked:
"What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?"
Iblis's pride blinded him. He refused to admit his mistake.
Because of this arrogance, Allah expelled him from His mercy and said:
"Get out of here, for you are cursed."
From that moment, Iblis became known as Shaytan—the enemy of mankind.
The Beginning of Enmity
After being cast out, Shaytan made a dangerous promise:
"Because You have sent me astray, I will sit in wait for them (humans) on Your straight path. Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them, from their right and from their left, and You will find most of them ungrateful."
Allah allowed him to exist until the Day of Judgment as a test for humanity.
However, Allah also made it clear that Shaytan would have no power over those who are sincere and faithful.
Adam (AS) in Paradise
Allah placed Adam (AS) in Jannah (Paradise), a place of unimaginable beauty and peace. Everything he needed was provided—comfort, food, and happiness.
But Adam (AS) was alone.
Allah, in His mercy, created Hawwa (Eve) from Adam himself to be his companion. Together, they lived in Paradise in peace and harmony.
Allah gave them a simple command:
"Eat freely from wherever you wish in Paradise, but do not approach this one tree. If you do, you will be among the wrongdoers."
This command was a test of obedience.
The Whisper of Shaytan
Shaytan, filled with jealousy and hatred, could not accept the honor given to Adam (AS). He sought to deceive them.
He whispered to Adam and Hawwa:
"Your Lord did not forbid you from this tree except that you would become angels or become immortal."
He even swore falsely:
"I am a sincere advisor to you."
Gradually, he planted doubt in their hearts.
They began to think:
"What if this tree really gives us something better?"
Eventually, they gave in to the temptation.
They ate from the forbidden tree.
The First Mistake
As soon as they disobeyed Allah, their state changed. They became aware of their nakedness and began to cover themselves with leaves from Paradise.
They realized immediately that they had made a mistake.
Allah called out to them:
"Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you that Shaytan is your clear enemy?"
Adam (AS) and Hawwa did not argue or blame others. Instead, they turned to Allah with sincere repentance.
They said:
"Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will surely be among the losers."
The Mercy of Allah
Allah, the Most Merciful, accepted their repentance.
This teaches an important lesson: humans may make mistakes, but the door of forgiveness is always open.
However, there were still consequences.
Allah commanded:
"Descend from Paradise—all of you. On Earth, you will live for a time, and there you will die, and from it you will be brought out again."
Adam (AS), Hawwa, and Shaytan were all sent down to Earth.
A New Beginning on Earth
This was not just a punishment—it was part of Allah's plan.
Earth would now become the place where humans would live, be tested, and prove their faith.
Allah promised guidance:
"Whenever guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows it will have no fear, nor will they grieve."
Adam (AS) became the first prophet, sent to guide humanity. He taught his children about Allah, about right and wrong, and about how to live a righteous life.
Lessons from Part 1
This first part of Adam's (AS) story teaches many important lessons:
Allah's wisdom is beyond human understanding
Knowledge is a great honor
Arrogance leads to downfall (like Shaytan)
Humans are prone to mistakes—but repentance is always accepted
Shaytan is our lifelong enemy

হযরত আদম (আ.) এর কাহিনী – প্রথম পর্ব
আল্লাহ তাআলা যখন এই বিশাল বিশ্বজগত সৃষ্টি করলেন, তখন আকাশ, জমিন, পাহাড়, নদী, গাছপালা—সবকিছু একে একে সৃষ্টি হলো। প্রতিটি জিনিসের মধ্যে ছিল নিখুঁত পরিকল্পনা ও সৌন্দর্য। সূর্য আলো দেয়, চাঁদ রাতকে সুন্দর করে, তারা আকাশকে সাজিয়ে রাখে। কিন্তু এই সব কিছুর মাঝেও এমন একটি সৃষ্টি ছিল না, যে এই সৌন্দর্য উপলব্ধি করবে, আল্লাহর ইবাদত করবে এবং তাঁর খলিফা হিসেবে পৃথিবীতে বসবাস করবে।
🌍 মানুষের সৃষ্টি করার ঘোষণা
আল্লাহ তাআলা ফেরেশতাদের উদ্দেশ্যে বললেন:
"আমি পৃথিবীতে একজন প্রতিনিধি (খলিফা) সৃষ্টি করতে যাচ্ছি।"
এই কথা শুনে ফেরেশতারা বিস্মিত হয়ে বললেন— "হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! আপনি কি এমন কাউকে সৃষ্টি করবেন, যারা পৃথিবীতে অশান্তি সৃষ্টি করবে এবং রক্তপাত করবে? অথচ আমরা তো আপনার প্রশংসা করি এবং পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করি।"
আল্লাহ তাআলা উত্তরে বললেন— "আমি যা জানি, তোমরা তা জানো না।"
এখান থেকেই বোঝা যায়, মানুষের মধ্যে এমন কিছু গুণ থাকবে যা অন্য কোনো সৃষ্টির মধ্যে নেই।
🧱 আদম (আ.)-এর সৃষ্টি
এরপর আল্লাহ তাআলা মাটি থেকে আদম (আ.)-কে সৃষ্টি করলেন। বিভিন্ন ধরনের মাটি—লাল, কালো, শক্ত, নরম—সব মিশিয়ে মানুষের দেহ গঠন করা হয়। এজন্য মানুষের চরিত্রও ভিন্ন ভিন্ন হয়—কেউ শান্ত, কেউ রাগী, কেউ সহনশীল, কেউ কঠোর।
আল্লাহ তাআলা নিজ হাতে আদম (আ.)-এর দেহ তৈরি করলেন। এরপর তাঁর মধ্যে রূহ (আত্মা) প্রবেশ করালেন। তখনই তিনি জীবিত হয়ে উঠলেন—তিনি হলেন পৃথিবীর প্রথম মানুষ, প্রথম নবী—হযরত আদম (আ.)।
🧠 জ্ঞান শিক্ষা
আল্লাহ তাআলা আদম (আ.)-কে এমন জ্ঞান দিলেন যা অন্য কোনো সৃষ্টি পায়নি। তিনি তাকে সব কিছুর নাম ও গুণাগুণ শিখিয়ে দিলেন।
তারপর আল্লাহ তাআলা ফেরেশতাদের সামনে আদম (আ.)-কে উপস্থাপন করে বললেন— "তোমরা যদি সত্যবাদী হও, তবে এসব বস্তুর নাম বলো।"
ফেরেশতারা বললেন— "হে আল্লাহ! আমরা তো শুধু সেইটুকুই জানি, যা আপনি আমাদের শিখিয়েছেন।"
তখন আদম (আ.) সব কিছুর নাম বলে দিলেন। এতে প্রমাণ হলো, মানুষকে আল্লাহ বিশেষ জ্ঞান ও মর্যাদা দিয়েছেন।
🙇♂️ সিজদার নির্দেশ
এরপর আল্লাহ তাআলা সব ফেরেশতাদের আদেশ দিলেন— "তোমরা সবাই আদমকে সিজদা করো।"
এই সিজদা ছিল সম্মান প্রদর্শনের জন্য, ইবাদতের জন্য নয়।
সব ফেরেশতা আদেশ পালন করে সিজদা করলেন। কিন্তু একজন সিজদা করল না—সে হলো ইবলিস (শয়তান)।
😈 ইবলিসের অহংকার
ইবলিস আগে জ্বিনদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল, কিন্তু সে অনেক ইবাদত করত বলে ফেরেশতাদের সাথে থাকত। যখন তাকে সিজদা করতে বলা হলো, তখন সে অহংকার করে বলল—
"আমি তার থেকে উত্তম। আপনি আমাকে আগুন দিয়ে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, আর তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন মাটি দিয়ে।"
এই অহংকারের কারণে সে আল্লাহর আদেশ অমান্য করল।
তখন আল্লাহ তাআলা তাকে বললেন— "তুমি এখান থেকে বের হয়ে যাও। তুমি অভিশপ্ত।"
ইবলিস তখন বলল— "হে আল্লাহ! আমাকে কিয়ামত পর্যন্ত সময় দিন।"
আল্লাহ তাকে সময় দিলেন।
⚠️ শয়তানের শপথ
ইবলিস তখন প্রতিজ্ঞা করল— "আমি মানুষকে বিভ্রান্ত করব। আমি তাদের সামনে, পেছনে, ডানে-বামে থেকে পথভ্রষ্ট করার চেষ্টা করব।"
এটাই ছিল মানুষের জন্য প্রথম শত্রুর ঘোষণা।
🌴 জান্নাতে আদম (আ.)
এরপর আল্লাহ তাআলা আদম (আ.)-কে জান্নাতে বসবাসের অনুমতি দিলেন। কিন্তু তিনি একা ছিলেন। তাই আল্লাহ তাআলা তাঁর সঙ্গী হিসেবে সৃষ্টি করলেন হযরত হাওয়া (আ.)-কে।
তাদের বলা হলো— "তোমরা জান্নাতে বাস করো, যা ইচ্ছা খাও, কিন্তু এই একটি গাছের কাছে যেয়ো না।"
এই নিষেধাজ্ঞা ছিল একটি পরীক্ষা।
🐍 শয়তানের কুমন্ত্রণা
ইবলিস তাদের শত্রু ছিল। সে তাদের ধোঁকা দেওয়ার জন্য নানা কৌশল করল। একদিন সে তাদের কাছে এসে বলল—
"আমি তোমাদের মঙ্গল চাই। এই গাছের ফল খেলে তোমরা চিরকাল জান্নাতে থাকতে পারবে।"
সে মিথ্যা শপথ করল।
ধীরে ধীরে সে তাদের মনে সন্দেহ তৈরি করল। অবশেষে আদম (আ.) ও হাওয়া (আ.) সেই নিষিদ্ধ গাছের ফল খেয়ে ফেললেন।
😢 ভুলের পরিণতি
যখন তারা ফল খেলেন, তখনই তাদের লজ্জাস্থান প্রকাশ হয়ে গেল। তারা লজ্জিত হয়ে পড়লেন এবং জান্নাতের পাতা দিয়ে নিজেদের ঢাকতে লাগলেন।
আল্লাহ তাআলা তাদের ডাকলেন— "আমি কি তোমাদের এই গাছ থেকে নিষেধ করিনি? এবং বলিনি যে শয়তান তোমাদের প্রকাশ্য শত্রু?"
তখন তারা বুঝতে,
