Cain's pupils trembled as he looked at the scene outside his window.
The sky above was completely fractured, like some type of glass, but as if that was terrifying enough, the void beyond was revealed.
Cain and many other humans stood and hopelessly watched as planets pulled closer and closer to them.
They were so close that every single feature of the closest one, mars, could be seen.
Not wanting to experience whatever pain this imminent doom was bringing, many thought it wise to end their very own lives.
And maybe that was the right decision.
Plenty immediately fell to their knees, whether atheists or religious as they cried for salvation from the only being they could,
God.
And as if their prayers were answered, the approaching planets suddenly stopped the moment they were as close as the moon.
A hand was suddenly seen picking said planets as if they were nothing but pebble at the side of the road and moved them back in place.
It was a scene that was both wonderful and horrifying at the same time, but many believed their salvation was here.
And perhaps, that was what whoever started all this wanted them to believe.
Cain watched as the shattered sky restore itself and the next second, at the same time, all around the world, everyone heard a voice directly in their minds.
[Humans,] the voice started, sounding almost as if multiple beings were speaking at the same time, [as you can see, your world has come to an end.]
The moment the voice appeared in their heads, every human realized that they couldn't move anymore.
[However,] the voice continued, almost lazily, [In our infinite mercy, we have decided to grant you a chance.]
Just after the voice's words the ground around them started rumbling and cracks appeared on it too.
A second later, stone structures started rising from the ground in different locations around the world.
The structures revealed themselves to be doorways of different sizes.
[But only to those worthy,] the voice continued, [and that worth will be determined through a simple condition.]
Glowing vortexes of different colors immediately appeared on every doorway.
[Kill]
The next second, creatures only seen in fantasy stories started exiting through the doorways and humans, who still couldn't move, could only watch in horror as the creatures stepped out of the vortexes.
[Kill what emerges,] the voice continued, utterly indifferent, [and prove your worth.]
The moment the sentence ended, their restraint vanished as if a switch had been flipped.
People collapsed to their knees, others stumbled as their bodies suddenly became their own again.
And then, the chaos began.
"RUN!!"
"WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS?!"
"HELP—!"
The creatures also immediately started moving and they lunged at the closest panicking human.
Cain watched in horror as all this happened through his window, his body refusing to move.
'I-is this my fault?' The thought rose in his mind as he watched the massacre happening below.
Was this because he accepted that challenge?
He didn't get enough time to thinks about it as one of the creatures, no monsters, suddenly looked up, directly at him.
"F-fuck!" He cursed as he immediately moved away from the window…
Or at least he tried to, but his body refused to move a single step.
The creature, one very similar to a bat in both size and shape, the only difference being that these had massive dagger sized teeth ones that were revealed as it let out a screech.
"Move, damn it!"
Again, he tried stepping away from the window, but his body refused.
The bat-like creature flapped its wings as it slowly rose from the ground, but the next second,
BOOM!
The creature launched itself forward like a bullet, aiming for his window.
"MOVE!" Cain screamed at himself and fortunately for him, this time, his body listened.
He stumbled back just as the creature crashed through the window and its claws slashed where his head had been a split second ago, crashing into the wall behind him.
His heart slammed violently against his ribs.
The creature let out a screech as it turned towards him, but the moment it lunged, Cain dodged to the side, his hand gripping the closest thing he could reach,
His gaming chair.
Although it was heavy as hell, pure adrenaline allowed him to swing it as hard as he could towards the bat-like creature.
BANG!
The chair slammed into the monster, launching it towards the opposite direction of the room.
Cain looked at the chair only to notice that the metallic parts had suddenly bent inward from the impact.
"What the hell is this thing made of?" he muttered, as he looked toward the wall where the creature was launched only for his eyes to suddenly widen.
BOOM!
On instinct, Cain's body jumped to the side as the bat launched itself past his previous position, slamming into his monitors.
His eyes widened as the bat completely destroyed his entire setup and he was almost worried about that than the danger before him….
Almost.
Cain picked up a metal lamp and jumped towards the bat, hoping that it'd be enough to end it.
But the moment he close the distance,
Screech!
The creature suddenly screech and shockwaves were released from its mouth, ones with enough force to send him flying.
"Gah!" The air was knocked out of Cain's lungs as he crashed into the wall and the his ears started bleeding.
And that's when his sanity finally returned as he questioned.
"Why the hell did I try and fight it in the first place?"
Was it because everything had become so boring that he was curious to try something new?
No, it was for a reason even stupider.
He thought that if he managed to kill it, he'd unlock some sort of cool power up, and that caused him to forget that his monster slaying skills were only to games.
The most he could do with his real body was basic martial arts, nothing more.
Cain let out a bloody cough as he watched the bat slowly crawl towards him.
The damn thing had realized that he was a lot weaker than it was and it was taking its sweet time.
"You're enjoying this, huh?" He muttered, letting out an unamused laugh, though, subtly, he moved his hand to the side, grabbing what felt like a broken shard of glass.
The bat suddenly lunged with its mouth wide open and Cain also immediately made his move.
He lifted his right arm, letting the creature's teeth sink into it, sending a wave of pain through him.
But he held it in and lifted the left before slamming the shard into the creature's eyes causing it to screech letting go of the arm that it had mangled.
Cain, on the other hand, refused to let go.
Even while the glass shard ripped his palm open, he still forced it into the bat's eye. The creature struggled to get free of his grip for a long while before it suddenly stopped.
Still, he kept pushing the glass shard in until he was assured that the monster truly was dead.
He finally let go, both arms hanging to his side as he leaned back on the wall.
His breathing was heavy and he looked completely banged up, but at least he was alive.
Well, not for long.
Because with the amount of blood he was losing, he'd soon pass out. And even if that didn't kill him,
BOOM!
Cain slowly looked up and realized that his entire wall had been blow off and floating there were multiple flying monsters looking directly at him.
"Haha," he let out a wry chuckle as he looked at the scene before him, "I'm going to die, aren't I?"
As if mocking his situation, a golden holographic screen appeared before him, announcing,
[Kill condition met.]

[&@$$@ has deleted the Skill creation system.]
[You have been granted the Divine Streamer system.]
"…"
Cain looked at the interfaces without reaction for a few seconds before he started chuckling again.
"A streamer system?" He looked forward at the creatures that were suddenly approaching him, "what am I supposed to do with that? Livestream my own death?"
The creatures suddenly let out a screech as they lunged towards him, but Cain didn't even try to run.
Not that he could anyway.
His vision was already blurring from his blood loss, and any second now, he would black out.
But just before the monsters could reach him, everything suddenly stopped moving and the world turned grey.
Literally.
Cain thought it was some type of hallucination due to his blood loss, but the next second.
[Divine Stream System Activated.]
