Raya's POV.
Resting on rock hard abs in the dead of the night didn't feel as comfortable as I thought it was going to be. I reeked of booze and endless partying with the hottest male strippers I could get my hands on.
But after we had partied ourselves to sleep, I woke up with an itch in my throat, feeling a thirst for water to ease the uneasy sting. I quietly dressed up and crept out of the hotel room, making sure I didn't wake any of the men drowning in their fantasy dreams.
I got into my car to drive home, though I decided to rest my head for a little while. My phone buzzed with an alarm which I quickly turned off and scrolled through my social feed, the sound of a flickering light upsetting me. A notification of a document on Elara popped up on my screen and I clicked it without hesitation. It was a reminder that Elara was no longer recognized as a worker in Axiom Corps.
