Chapter 3: The System Awakens
Yassin sat silently in his place, his eyes fixed on the window while his mind was racing with
thoughts, everything that had just happened in class confirmed one thing—this was not a dream,
this was real, and he had truly returned to the past, but before he could even fully process it, that
same cold, familiar voice echoed once again deep inside his mind, clearer this time, heavier, as if
it was no longer distant but now a part of him, "You have taken the first step…", his body
stiffened instantly, his fingers tightening around his pen as a strange pressure filled his chest, then
suddenly, a faint blue light appeared in front of his eyes, invisible to everyone else, floating like a
transparent screen, "System Activated," the voice continued, now emotionless, mechanical, and
absolute, Yassin's breathing stopped for a second as words began to form on that screen:
**[Welcome, Yassin. This is your Last Chance System.]**, his eyes widened in disbelief but also
excitement, "System…?" he whispered internally, afraid someone might hear him, but no one
reacted, the class was still going on normally as if nothing was happening, as if he alone had
stepped into another layer of reality, the screen flickered again, **[Main Objective: Rewrite your
fate.]**, followed by another line, **[First Mission: Pass the upcoming exam with a top score.]**,
his heart started beating faster, not from fear, but from the sudden clarity of purpose, this was it,
this was the tool he needed, the advantage that would separate him from everyone else, the
screen shifted once more, **[Reward: Intelligence +2 | Focus +2]**, **[Failure: Permanent
Loss]**, the last words sent a chill down his spine, reminding him of the warning, no second
chances, no mercy, Yassin slowly leaned back in his chair, his gaze darkening with determination,
"So this is how I change everything…", he thought, clenching his jaw, at that moment, a soft voice
pulled him back to reality, "Yassin… are you good?" it was Hajar, looking at him with concern, her
eyes gentle yet curious, he blinked, the system screen fading slightly but not disappearing, "im good" he replied quickly, forcing a small smile, but inside, everything had already changed, this
was no longer just about fixing mistakes, this was a game now, a dangerous one, with rules,
missions, and consequences, and he had no choice but to win, across the room, Karim was still
watching him, suspicion clear in his eyes, as if he had noticed the change, as if he could feel that
something was different, something was wrong, Yassin met his gaze for a brief second before
looking away calmly, "You're just the beginning," he thought, his focus returning to the system, to
the mission, to the future he was about to rebuild step by step, no more hesitation, no more fear,
only progress, only results, only victory, because this time… failure was not an option.
