The days were passing but life was not getting easier.
Ankit had started learning English and coding with determination, but outside her small room, reality was waiting for her.
And reality was not kind.
The Weight of Expectations
One evening, Ankit was sitting in her room, trying to understand a python problem. Her notebook was open, filled with half -written code and corrections.
Just then, her mother's voice came from the kitchen.
' Ankit, come here for a minute."
She sighed softly and went out. Her parents where sitting together , their faces serious. Her father looked tried, more than usual.
"Beta" he said gently, "how long will this studying continue?"
Ankit stayed silent.
" I mean.... you have finished your college now." he continued. " We are not saying don't study. but.... you should also think about doing some job."
His words were simple.
But they felt heavy .
Words That Hurt
Her mother added softly.
" People are asking about you. They keep saying, "What is your daughter doing now ?"what should we answer?
Ankit lowered her eyes. she didn't blame them. They were not wrong. They were worried. But still.... it hurt.
" I am trying." She said quietly. "I am learning coding... and improving my English."
Her father nodded slowly. But his expression didn't change.
"How much time will it take?" He asked.
That question had no answer
Silent Pressure
That night, Ankit could not focus.
She sat in front of her phone, but the code on the screen didn't make sense.
Her mind was full of thoughts.
"Maybe they are right..."
" I am just wasting time...."
" What if I never get a job?"
The fear was stronger now.
Not just fear of failure—
But fear of disappointing her parents.
Comparison
The next day, she opened social media for a few minutes.
Big mistake.
Her classmates were posting updates.
"Got placed in a company!"
" First salary!"
"New job new beginning!"
Photos, smiles,success.
Ankit started at the screen.
Her chest felt heavy.
" They are moving forward.... and I am still here." she thought. She quickly locked her phone.
But the thoughts didn't stop.
Doubting Herself Again
She stood in front of the mirror.
The same mirror where she had practiced English.
But today, she didn't feel confident.
"Am I really capable?" She asked herself.
Her reflection didn't answer.
For a moment, she felt like giving up everything.
A Small Reminder
Letter that evening, she opened her notebook again.
The page were filled with her journey—
words she had learned. Sentences she had written. Codes she had tried.
She turned the page slowly.
Then she saw something she had written earlier:
"I will try. Every day."
She started at that time.
For a long time.
Choosing Not to Quit
"Yes..... I am slow." She said softly.
"Yes ....others are ahead."
"But I have started."
Her voice was not loud. But it was steady. She picked. She picked up her phone again. Opened her coding lesson. This time, it was still difficult.
But she didn't expect it to be easy anymore .
Facing Reality Differently
Day passed.
Nothing magical happened. No sudden success. No big achievement.
But something inside Ankit was becoming stronger.
Now, when he her parents asked.
"Did you find anything?"
she didn't feel as scared.
" I am still learning." she would answer.
Not with shame.
But with honestly.
Understanding Responsibility
One day she notice her father counting money in the shop.
Carefully.
Slowly.
As if every rupee mattered.
That moment hit her deeply.
"This is why they are worried." She rialised.
It was not pressure. It was responsibility. Her dream was not just her own anymore.
It was connected to her family.
A Stronger Decision
That night, Ankit didn't feel weak.
She felt serious. She opened her notebook and wrote:
"I don't have time to doubt myself."
Then she added:
" I have to make this work."
Her eyes were calm.
But determined.
End Hook
Ankit now understood something important—
Dreams are not easy.
They come with pressure.
With doubt.
With responsibility.
But they also come with a choice.
To quiet...
Or to continue.
No matter how slow the journeywas—
She would not stop.
Because somewhere inside, she knew—
This the struggle was not the end.
It was preparing her.....
For something much bigger.
