Chapter 11 - A Hidden Connection

— A Hidden Connection

At the very moment Nahil accepted the arrangement, something deep within his consciousness stirred.

A faint glow appeared in the darkness of his mind.

The red and golden bead slowly began to rotate, releasing a subtle yet profound aura that did not belong to the mortal world.

At the same time, outside the palace, the sky changed.

Dark clouds gathered silently, covering a portion of the capital. The air grew heavier, and a strange fluctuation spread across the surroundings. It was neither violent nor overwhelming, yet it carried an undeniable presence.

A faint interaction between two opposing forces appeared within the clouds.

Cold and warmth.

Yin and Yang.

The two energies briefly intertwined, forming an invisible connection before dispersing into the sky.

The phenomenon lasted only for a short moment before everything returned to normal, as if nothing had ever happened.

Most people did not notice anything unusual.

Only a few sensitive cultivators felt a slight disturbance in the flow of qi, but none could understand its origin.

Deep within the Samarian Palace, in a secluded chamber untouched by time, an ancient figure slowly opened his eyes.

The Klowen ancestor.

His gaze remained calm, yet it pierced through layers of space, as if observing the heavens themselves.

He had sensed it.

That subtle fluctuation.

That brief interaction between opposing forces.

He did not move.

He did not release his divine sense.

He simply observed.

After a moment, his eyes narrowed slightly.

"…Interesting."

His voice was quiet, yet it carried a weight that seemed to blend with the surrounding space.

That fluctuation did not belong to this world.

A brief silence followed.

Then, a thought appeared in his mind.

That boy is not simple.

Without any further action, he slowly closed his eyes again.

He chose to ignore it.

For someone at his level, there was no need to interfere in everything.

Inside the Princess Manor—

the room remained quiet.

Imaria looked at Nahil, and for a moment, she felt something change.

That faint warmth she had been sensing since the cave became clearer.

Stronger.

More stable.

It felt as if an invisible thread had formed between them.

I feel like I got closer to him…

She did not understand why this was happening, but she could not deny the change.

Nahil exhaled slowly and looked at her.

"Thank you for saving my life," he said sincerely. "I will not forget this. I will repay you in the future."

His expression remained calm, but inside his mind, a different thought appeared.

Even if this is just a fake marriage, I will make you fall in love with me.

His gaze lingered on her for a brief moment.

She is too beautiful. If I cannot make her mine, then it would be a shame, even by the standards of people from Earth.

Imaria remained unaware of his thoughts.

"There is no need," she replied calmly.

She paused slightly before continuing,

"By marrying me, I will consider your debt repaid."

Her tone was steady and without emotion.

Then she turned.

"You should rest for now. You have just awakened."

Without waiting for a response, she walked out of the room.

Clory followed behind her, leaving Nahil alone.

As the door closed, Nahil's expression became thoughtful.

How did I heal…?

He clearly remembered how serious his injuries had been.

That level of recovery was not normal.

Did the princess use some kind of elixir, or did something else happen?

He closed his eyes and began to examine his body carefully.

His senses moved through his meridians, his dantian, and every part of his body.

But he found nothing unusual.

Everything seemed perfectly normal.

After a moment, he stopped.

Sitting here and guessing will not help.

He sat cross-legged and began cultivating.

As he absorbed the surrounding qi, his expression slowly changed.

What is going on…?

The speed of his cultivation had increased significantly.

The surrounding qi flowed toward him more smoothly, as if his body had become more compatible with it.

His focus sharpened.

Then—

his consciousness sank inward.

Within the depths of his mind, the red and golden bead floated quietly.

It continued to rotate, releasing a faint glow.

At that moment, understanding emerged within him.

"I have awakened… a lower version of a Heavenly Yang Constitution…"

The realization came naturally.

"And… a cultivation technique…"

More fragments followed, forming a complete understanding.

Nahil slowly opened his eyes.

Shock and realization appeared in his gaze.

My past is definitely not simple.

He exhaled slowly.

"Sigh… whatever it is, I will find out in the future."

His expression became firm.

"For now, I need to get stronger."

Inside the quiet room, the flow of qi continued to gather around him.

Unseen changes had already begun.

And far above the skies—

the heavens had already taken notice.
