YURI (POV)
I came to school after two days, but neither Jay nor Kiefer had been around. I wanted answers from Kiefer after everything he had done... and honestly, I missed Jay too.
When Kiefer walked into the classroom, he looked Dead inside. Everyone was glaring at him, but I knew he was hiding something.
A few minutes later, Jay walked in. She looked lifeless. She went straight to Kiefer and asked if he still loved her. And he lied.
To her.
To himself.
He kissed her... then pushed her away. The words he said were cruel enough to break anyone, and I watched her shatter right in front of us.
I punched him after hearing it.
"I never expected this from you," I said.
Then he laughed bitterly.
"Why, Yuri? You can have her now. You don't have to worry about me anymore... she'll love you instead."
But even after everything, it was still him.
Jay slapped him so hard he fell to the floor.
And in that moment, I realized no matter how much I loved her, it was always going to be him. There was not even the smallest gap between them—not even a thread.
Jay still loved him. And Kiefer still loved her, too. One is my best friend and the girl I love. I want both of them to be happy, so I decided to cancel the engagement.
Then Jay collapsed.
Kiefer stood frozen for a second before finally lifting her into his arms and kissing her forehead.
And I saw a tear fall from his eyes. It was the first time I had seen him cry since his mother died.
He took Jay to the nurse's office, and after the nurse explained she was weak, everyone left to get food for her.
But I could not find Kiefer.
So I went back to check on Jay.
When I opened the curtains around her bed, Kiefer was standing beside her with red eyes. He quickly lied and said he only came to check on her, but I knew better.
"Kiefer... you kissed her, didn't you?" I asked.
A grin spread across his face.
"I knew it," I muttered. "Your face is literally glowing."
Then I looked at him seriously.
"Why are you hiding things from me? I'm your best friend."
"It's a mess I need to clean up myself," he said quietly before leaving.
Later, I went back to check on Jay again. But she was gone. The nurse said she had left a few minutes ago. I ran back to the classroom, only to find Kiefer on the floor while someone was punching him.
"Jay's not in the nurse's office," I said.
Everything went silent.
"What do you mean she's not there?" the guy snapped.
Before I could answer, we heard Percy shouting outside. We all ran toward him. And then I saw her. Jay was in Percy's arms, blood running down her wrist. Before I even realized it, I was already running toward the car.
JARE (POV)
A few weeks ago, I knew that I had a twin sister… I heard from Cole, kuya.

A few weeks ago, I found out I had a twin sister.
Cole Kuya told me everything, so today I flew from New York City to Manila Just to meet her.
Percy Kuya said she's a foodie, so I brought chocolates from New York for her. Percy was loud and wild—the complete opposite of Cole Kuya. He joined our family four years ago, and since I spent most of my time with him in the hospital, I ended up being closer to him.
The moment we arrived in Manila, we freshened up and went straight to her school because I was excited. I had always wanted a sister. But the second we entered the school, I heard people talking about Jay and Kiefer. I heard that he said he used her and did not love her.
That he did not care about her.
And it made my blood boil.
Before coming here, I had already looked into everything about her through a private investigation. I knew enough to know that she loved that idiot more than anything.
Percy tried to stop me, but I was already angry. Maybe because she was my blood. Then I heard Percy shouting my name.
We all ran towards the sound, then I saw her. It was my first time seeing my sister. And she looked like she was dying.
"What happened to her?" I snapped at Percy.
"She cut herself with broken glass," he said quickly. "We need to get her to the hospital."
I knelt beside her and touched her cheek gently.
"Hey, sis... It's me, your kuya. Look at me," I whispered.
Then that idiot tried to touch her.
I shoved his hand away.
"Don't you dare touch her."
We rushed to my car, but the engine would not start. Before I could do anything, Kiefer picked her up and put her in his own car. He did not even wait for us. He drove off like a madman.
"Does anyone else have a car?" I asked angrily.
Yuri and David immediately got in theirs, so I followed them. We could still see Kiefer's car ahead of us. He was swerving through traffic like he did not care if he died. And honestly... I hated how much it looked like he loved her. Then suddenly, his car disappeared. By the time we got near the hospital, we saw it.
The car was wrecked.
Completely smashed. We rushed over, but there was no one inside.
Percy told us to check the hospital. When we reached the front desk, the receptionist said a boy had carried a girl inside. Both of them were already in the ICU.
We found out they had gotten into an accident. I immediately called Cole Kuya to tell him everything, while Percy called Angelo Kuya.
Not long after, "She hit her head badly," the nurse said. "They're prepping her for surgery immediately." Mr. Watson had also lost a lot of blood.
After that, the hospital hallway slowly filled with family, friends, and everyone from Section E. No one spoke much.
Everyone was just waiting. Hours passed, but it felt like forever.
Kiefer (POV)
I had lost so much blood… I don't even know how long I'd been unconscious. The moment I opened my eyes, all I could think about was Jay. I ripped out my IV line and ran toward her ICU room.
"Mrs. Watson's guardian?" the doctor asked. Everyone—Jare, Aries, Angelo—they all stared at me, their eyes sharp and questioning. It didn't matter; she would be my wife even later. Nothing mattered except her.
I reached the ICU doors just as the nurse turned to me, her face grim. "Her body… It's shutting down. She doesn't have the strength to endure another surgery. Her pulse is weak. The success rate is barely ten percent if we operate again."
I clenched my fists, my voice raw. "Do it. Do whatever you have to—I don't care. I just want her alive."
The room went silent. All eyes were on me. I ignored them. "Can I see her now?" My voice was tight, trembling with fear.
The doctor hesitated. I stepped closer. "I won't be long. I just need to tell her something—something important."
He glanced at the monitors, then nodded. "We can't delay the operation. If you can help her, do it—there's no time."
I moved forward. There she was… pale, fragile, yet breathing. Alive. And in that moment, I swore I would never, ever leave her side again. dead
