While Qiao An took a rare moment to seriously interact with her viewers, Sheng Bai had already finished setting up the tent. He then told the brothers, Wei Yun and Wei Shui, to start preparing the cookware.
"What do you want to eat tonight?"
In a godforsaken place like this, most people would be lucky just to fill their stomachs. But Sheng Bai, ever prepared, acted as if Qiao An could order anything she wanted.
"Let's just eat something simple. We should get to bed early. We'll probably need a lot of time for exploring tomorrow."
By now, Qiao An was fairly certain there were signs of recent human activity. Yet, looking from a distance, the entire village was dark and silent. It was very strange.
Not wanting to disturb the others, Qiao An decided she would tell Sheng Bai tomorrow. In any case, she wouldn't be resting tonight; she just had to remain vigilant.
