"Phoebe, don't look. Stop looking! This is all just garbage news!" Kitty said angrily, snatching the tablet from Phoebe Faulkner's hand. She hurled it away. The tablet hit the wall and then the floor, making a loud CRASH.
"Phoebe..." After throwing the tablet, Kitty looked at Phoebe with concern.
Phoebe's head was bowed, her thoughts a mystery. The stray hairs of her bangs hid her eyes, so Kitty couldn't see her expression at all. This uncertainty only made Kitty worry more.
"Phoebe, don't be like this. No matter what happens, you still have me." Kitty sat down in front of Phoebe and wrapped her in a hug.
Phoebe clenched her fists, closed her eyes, and leaned on Kitty's shoulder.
'It didn't matter what anyone else did.'
'But why... why did it have to be her second uncle?'
'Why was it the uncle who had treated her like his own daughter since she was a child?'
