"Leah!"
Who was Leah?
Was that the name she had picked for their son?
It was so tacky!
Elliot Sheridan disliked the name, but since Georgia Thorne had chosen it, he didn't say anything.
Georgia Thorne had never bought toys before, so when he saw her struggling in front of the toy display, Elliot Sheridan assumed she wanted to buy one for the child they had tragically lost.
Elliot Sheridan was a man who spent money freely. He swept all the toys into the shopping cart. "Why hesitate? Just buy them all!"
"Why would we buy so many?!" Georgia Thorne put the toys back on the shelf, leaving only one in the cart.
Without looking too closely, she commented on Elliot Sheridan's actions, "Rich and crass!"
Elliot Sheridan chuckled at that. "You're right. And you're the only one who truly knows it!"
At first, Georgia Thorne didn't catch the meaning behind Elliot Sheridan's words. It wasn't until she met his blatant stare that she belatedly understood.
