The force was so strong that Shalma Hughes felt as if her wrist was about to snap.
"What are you doing? Let go of me," Shalma said sternly.
"Are you trying to call security? I'm not leaving today until we've settled this... Besides, I'm the CEO's wife! Who would dare lay a finger on me!" Yvette Sterling screeched, her face filled with the smug confidence of someone who had already won.
Ignoring Yvette's near-hysterical state, Shalma wrenched her hand free and turned to leave. She felt that even half a sentence was too much to waste on a madwoman. But as she stepped past the desk, Yvette immediately blocked her path.
"You're not allowed to leave!" Yvette shouted.
"Get out of the way... otherwise, don't blame me for making you lose face as the CEO's wife," Shalma said coldly, staring at the woman obstructing her.
