When Zhou Fan entered the basement, he saw the walls embedded with fist-sized Luminous Pearls and was tempted to pry them out and take them. But then he had a thought. 'I'm a man of status now. I can't do something like this. It would be too humiliating if word got out!'
The basement wasn't very large—a little over twenty square meters—but the sight that greeted him left even Zhou Fan stunned for a full two and a half minutes before he snapped out of it.
'Holy shit, this Lorne guy is seriously loaded!'
Looking this way and that, Zhou Fan sat down on a crate, a troubled expression on his face.
'Damn it,' he thought, 'so much good stuff, and I've only got two hands. How am I supposed to carry more?'
Suddenly, something in the corner of his eye caught his attention. It was a transparent box, and inside it rested an ink-black ring.
