An inexplicable sense of foreboding washed over him as he listened to Zhou Fan, and he rushed to declare his stance.
"That can't be right. Isn't Metheus one of yours from Dark Night?" Zhou Fan frowned slightly, then turned to Bai Zhi. Seeing her confused expression, he patted his lap. "Come sit over here."
Hearing Zhou Fan's words, Bai Zhi's first instinct was to get angry. 'But wait,' she thought, 'could it be that he has a plan? Does he need me to cooperate?'
"Hurry up. We slept together last night, so why are you acting shy now?" Zhou Fan grabbed Bai Zhi's hand, pulled her directly into his lap, and continued, "I was right about what I just said, wasn't I? I remember Metheus being part of Dark Night. Am I mistaken?"
