Damian Fairchild opened the car door and got in, his voice perfectly calm.
"You're not going anywhere until you've registered our marriage."
He paused. "Veronica Shawcross? What kind of friend is she to you, really? She's nothing but trouble. Keeping you from her is for your own good."
Seraphina Quinn sneered, "For my own good? If you were really doing this for my good, you wouldn't be restricting my freedom."
Damian Fairchild didn't want to argue with Seraphina Quinn over the phone.
"Seraphina Quinn, you should know full well why I'm restricting your freedom. Cian has indeed left Aurelium, but his men are secretly monitoring your every word and move around the clock. The woman who shares my bed is being watched by him every day. Tell me, shouldn't I restrain your freedom?"
Seraphina Quinn said, "Damian Fairchild, I don't care why you're restricting my freedom. Right now, I want you to let Veronica Shawcross in. Otherwise, this isn't over between us."
