The rain kept falling. Occasional flashes of lightning would completely illuminate the pitch-black Swamp Forest, followed by the roar of thunder.
Chen Yu rode Xiaoka, staying busy until midnight. He covered nearly the entire area around the southern forest path, absorbing a total of seven clusters of Magic Power.
This was far from the forest's limit. His Level 4 Devouring and Digesting skill took one to three hours to absorb a cluster of Magic Power, whereas an ordinary monster would need at least a day.
There was too much gray-mist Magic Power; it was impossible to absorb it all.
'Sigh.'
'Sometimes, being too rich is its own kind of trouble.'
All this excess Magic Power could only be left for the other monsters in the forest, or it would simply dissipate after the storm.
'What a waste.'
'If only I had some kind of Magic Item that could capture and store all this Magic Power.'
For now, though, it was time to go back and sleep.
