Zhao Ling turned to look and saw three girls walking toward her, sizing her up as they came.
These three girls were Zhao Ling's classmates. The one in the middle, dressed so maturely she hardly looked like a student, was Cao Jing. The other two had similar styles; one was Ma Hui, and the other was Sun Tian. Both were Cao Jing's lackeys.
The trio disliked studying, only caring about competing over their clothes and outfits. They had always looked down on Zhao Ling, who came from a poor family and dressed plainly. But when they arrived at school today, they saw Zhao Ling in a beautiful new set of clothes, dressed just like a little princess. Annoyance and jealousy instantly welled up inside them.
Walking up to Zhao Ling, Ma Hui looked her up and down before sneering, "That outfit looks pretty enough, I guess. I just wonder how much it cost."
