Roman Rhodes watched her quietly for a moment.
His gaze was so focused and intense that, within moments, the dozing Stella Sterling sensed it and slowly stirred awake.
"Mmm? Are you done with work?"
She propped herself up, the corners of her eyes tinged with a faint, sleepy red.
The man sat on the edge of the bed, reaching out to smooth her messy hair. "Still sleepy?"
Stella Sterling blinked and smiled shyly. "I feel much better after that nap."
'I didn't mean to fall asleep. The aromatherapy in the lounge must have a calming effect.'
'I was just scrolling on my phone and dozed off before I realized it.'
Stella Sterling tapped the screen to check the time. It read 12:46 PM.
She looked up at Roman Rhodes. "My coming to Vicenza… did I interrupt your work?"
'Before I came, all I wanted was to surprise him and find a moment to see him.'
'But now that I've calmed down and am thinking rationally, it feels like I was too impulsive.'
