They wound past the restaurant's classic partitions.
At a bend in the hallway, before she even got close, she saw a wisp of smoke lingering in the air.
'So he's smoking nearby.'
The waiter gestured with his arm before hastily excusing himself.
Stella Sterling walked over at a leisurely pace. Just as she reached the corner, a voice piped up, "Who was that man sitting across from you?"
