At his command, two tall, burly men stepped out from behind Julian Easton and advanced menacingly. Both were hulks of men, each one easily twice the size of a woman. Their sheer presence was enough to intimidate anyone.
Yara Fuller recognized them as Ace and Deuce, two bodyguards hired by Julian Easton's mother. When it came to fighting, they could each take on ten men. She had once seen them trash a director's set just because an actress was gathering evidence to sue Julian Easton. Fiercely protective of her son, Mrs. Easton had sent her thugs to deal with the problem. Yara had been visiting the set that day and happened to witness the incident, which had scared her half to death.
Her director friend had told her plainly, "Whoever gets targeted by those vicious dogs is doomed..."
But no one dared to cross the Easton Family. Those without a powerful background were left to be devoured whole. And for the victims, the more they resisted, the more they suffered.
