Megan Kane had never imagined a fire would suddenly break out in a perfectly fine hospital.
So she was completely in a fog about the current situation, unable to make any sense of it.
She couldn't figure out where in the hospital the fire had even started.
But now, she couldn't even make out the face of the person behind her. They were ruthlessly clamping a hand over her mouth and nose, making it impossible to breathe. It felt as if she was losing all ability to put up a fight.
Megan Kane's eyes were about to close as her consciousness faded. After all, there was truly no way to resist in this situation.
She had no idea what choice to make in this ordeal.
She just knew, with absolute clarity, that she had lost completely this time.
"It's going to take a lot of effort to drag this person into the van. Is this really worth it?"
"I'll be honest, I don't think the client is paying us that much. Why don't we just ditch this job?"
