Chapter 14 - The First Light

Before time had a name… before the sky knew how to hold light… there was only silence.

Not darkness—no, not even that yet. Darkness implies absence. This was something deeper. A void untouched by meaning.

And then… they came.

From beyond the veil of nothingness emerged three beings, their presence alone rewriting reality. They were not born—they were. Eternal, sovereign, unquestionable.

Din stepped forward first.

Where she moved, the void trembled.

With hands of burning creation, she carved form into formlessness. Flame spilled from her fingertips, shaping mountains that tore through the emptiness, raising continents from nothing. The world groaned into existence beneath her will—raw, unrefined, alive with potential.

"Power," she declared, her voice echoing like thunder across a newborn world. "Without it, nothing can stand."

Next came Nayru.

Where Din had forged chaos into matter, Nayru brought order. Light like liquid crystal flowed from her, weaving laws into existence. Time began its silent march. The winds learned their paths. Waters found their depths.

She traced the invisible threads that would govern all things.

"Without wisdom," she spoke softly, "power is but ruin."

Last came Farore.

She did not reshape the land, nor bind it with law. Instead, she breathed.

And life answered.

From her spirit came movement—creatures that walked, swam, soared. Beings that would one day think, choose, fear, and hope. The world awakened, no longer a mere creation, but something that could grow.

"Courage," she whispered, "is what allows life to endure."

Together, the three goddesses stood upon their completed work.

A land of fire and forest. Ocean and storm. Silence and song.

Balanced.

Perfect.

And yet… unfinished.

For even gods cannot remain forever.

At the point where their powers intertwined most purely, they left behind something greater than any mountain or ocean—

A sacred relic.

A silent promise.

A power that would shape the fate of all who came after.

The Triforce.

Its golden light pulsed once… twice… as if it already knew.

That this world—this fragile, beautiful world—would not remain untouched.

That one day…

Power would be sought.

Wisdom would be tested.

And courage…

Would be all that remained.

As the goddesses departed beyond the realm they had created, the land fell quiet once more.

But not empty.

Never empty again.

Far below the silent sky, the first winds began to stir.

And somewhere deep within the newborn earth…

Something else listened.

The three goddesses of legend from Ocarina of Time. I'm curious if anyone could create a coherent timeline that follows the Hyrule Historia, with a beginning similar to this chapter.

If you do use it, as it's considered an official beginning chronologically, Skyward Sword must be included, including Hylias era, which, if you don't know, is before the game.

Let me know if you want to give it a try.
