The moment a sentient being absorbs spiritual energy, they begin cultivating and become a cultivator. That is the meaning of cultivation: to absorb the spiritual power of heaven and earth and transcend limitations.
Simple? No.
Remember the analogy of the filled container? True cultivation is about strengthening the body to withstand transcendence. Therefore, all cultivators are sentient beings seeking to transcend heaven and earth.
For humans, this process is divided into nine major realms, also known as the Nine Heavens of Transcendence.
First Realm: Spiritual Power Refinement
Divided into three stages:
Qi Induction
This consists of absorbing colorless particles of spiritual energy and containing them within the dantian as a filament. When this filament reaches the limit of the dantian, the stage is complete.
Qi Transformation
The filament is transformed into its original attribute. Using their comprehension and spiritual roots, the cultivator gives "color" to the previously colorless filament.
Qi Refinement
After fully transforming the filament, the dantian undergoes an expansion. This happens because the body recognizes spiritual energy as part of itself, achieving the first transcendence.
At this stage, the dantian gains refining capability, working alongside the spiritual roots and allowing the cultivator to project spiritual energy outside the body. The goal is once again to cultivate to the limit—but now using already converted energy.
Second Realm: Foundation Establishment
Divided into three stages:
Initial Stage
After reaching the limit of the dantian, the cultivator must transform the filament into liquid. Upon completing this transformation, they reach the intermediate stage and gain a lifespan of around 250 years.
Intermediate Stage
Cultivate the liquid until it reaches 100%.
Final Stage
Temper bones, flesh, skin, and organs. This is a critical stage, especially for cultivators with multiple spiritual roots, as it requires resources aligned with each element.
If even a single element is missing and the cultivator attempts to advance, they will die.
This stage prepares the body to withstand the Primordial Seed.
Third Realm: Primordial Seed
Divided into three stages:
The Dantian Becomes a Seed
Compress the dantian to the size of a seed—condensing an entire "sea" of energy into a single drop. This is a slow and extremely delicate process.
Transformation into Primordial
Fuse the origin drop with the seed. After the fusion, the seed becomes primordial, completely transforming the body.
At this point, the cultivator steps beyond mortality.
Primordial power replaces ordinary spiritual energy, their body undergoes a complete transformation, and flight—once a dream—becomes reality and reaches a lifespan of approximately 800 years.
Spiritual Consciousness
Upon reaching the limit of the Primordial Seed, the cultivator awakens spiritual consciousness, expanding their senses.
Initially, they can perceive up to 1 km, which can evolve to around 10 km.
