Kane slammed his fist into the Golden Guard's bridge, killing the Admiral instantly. He grabbed the manual flight-controls and shoved the massive ship into a kamikaze dive toward the Dyson-Ring.
BOOM.
The impact was heard through the souls of everyone in the system. The Golden Guard ship acted as a bridge, a massive conductor between the Sun's ring and the Mercy of Silence.
"NOW!" Kane roared.
A beam of pure, raw stellar energy, ten miles wide, erupted from the Dyson-Ring. It hit the Mercy of Silence right in its primary intake.

The Mercy of Silence didn't just glow; it turned into a silhouette of pure, blinding shadow. The violet fire coming out of its engines was now long enough to reach the neighboring planets.
Kane stood at the center of the explosion, his body acting as the filter. He felt the heat of a billion years of stellar fusion pouring through his marrow. He felt the cries of the Consortium citizens on the planets below as their lights went out.
He didn't care.
He looked at the Consortium Home-World—the beautiful, golden planet of Aurelia—and raised his axe.
"You called us a harvest," Kane's voice boomed, amplified by the Dyson-Ring itself. "Now, it's my turn to eat."
The Mercy of Silence began to fire its primary beam. But it wasn't a "Planet-Cracker" beam anymore. It was a World-Eater.
