"She didn't want to risk passing anything to me, in case she still had it in her system, so she avoided my touch…and it should be the same for you too" Jung-Sook said calmly.
Min-Gyu sighed in relief and turned towards me
"you know I don't care if I get infected or not.., so next time don't do such a thing next time okay" Min-Gyu scolded softly
My lips twitched slightly as I looked at him with raised brows
"So what are you doing here? You just recovered and you shouldn't be coming here on your own" Min-Gyu said, worry evident in his voice.
"Apparently she missed you too much to wait for you to come to her" Jung-Sook teased softly
I leaned back as I watched their interaction
Min-Gyu glared at Jung-Sook, then sighed
"Grandma, are you done with the rice" Min-Gyu asked as he sat down
"No I'm not yet done but I would soon be" Jung-Sook said as she resumed grinding
Min-Gyu looked at her with furrowed brows
"How come… you started a long time ago" Min-Gyu said, his gaze suddenly shifting to me.
"Nari, why didn't you help Grandma with the grinding" Min-Gyu asked.
I froze, then looked at him, speechless
"Excuse me" I said with narrowed eyes
Jung-Sook slapped Min-Gyu's thigh
"Ai, you senseless boy what do you mean by that..., Nari just recovered and you expect her to come and help me" Jung-Sook scolded angrily
"But...." Min-Gyu said
"No buts" Jung-Sook said
Min-Gyu sighed in defeat as he collected the grinding tool from Jung-Sook and started grinding
Jung-Sook glanced at me with an apologetic expression
"Nari don't mind Min-Gyu okay, you know that's how he is" Jung-Sook said softly
I nodded indifferently and remained standing
"So when did you come Nari" Min-Gyu asked
"Some minute ago" I said coldly
An awkward silence suddeny descended
"Aunty Jung, I should be going since you guys are busy" I said, breaking the silence
"Oh no, we're almost done, you can just wait for one minute" Jung-Sook said hurriedly
I stood in place, considering her suggestion when Min-Gyu's voice broke through my concentration
"There's no need to wait, I'm already done" Min-Gyu said as he stood up, dusting his hands
"I don't know how you're always so fast with this stuff" Jung-Sook lamented
"Don't you remember that I used to assist mom whenever she's grinding anything and she's always so fast" Min-Gyu said as he shrugged with a wistful look on his face
"And you cannot help your poor old grandma when it's her turn" Jung-Sook said as she pouted playfully
"But.... I just helped you" Min-Gyu said, furrowing his brows
"I'm just joking so loosen up" Jung-Sook said softly, then glanced at me
"Let me be going so that you and Nari can talk" Jung-Sook said as she stood up
"Let me help you" Min-Gyu said said as he tried to collect the grinded rice
Jung-Sook slapped his hands away
"Get lost and talk to little Nari, she's waiting for you" Jung-Sook said and left
I stared at her disappearing back then turned to Min-Gyu
"So grandma said you have something to tell me" Min-Gyu said with a smile on his face
"Yes, I was waiting for you and aunty to finish" I said calmly
Min-Gyu looked with narrowed eyes
"What is it" I asked
"How many times do I have to say it? Stop calling her Aunty—call her Grandma," Min-Gyu said, looking at me.
Upon meeting my blue eyes, he sighed and rubbed his face
"Never mind....., so how's your recovery going" Min-Gyu asked softly
"It's okay, Thanks for asking" I said indifferently
Min-Gyu nodded, then glanced at the floor
"So what did you want to tell me" Min-Gyu asked
I took a deep breath as my gaze turned calm
"Min-Gyu Let's break up" I said softly but coldly.
