Nayeon glanced at my cold expression and pouted
"Come on Nari, are you still angry with me" Nayeon said as she nudged my shoulders
I glanced at her with raised brows
"Weren't you angry when you left my house, so why are you still talking to me" I asked as I crossed my arms
"Ah Nari, can't you take a little joke..., I was angry with you at that time but I can't stay angry with you forever" Nayeon said
"Why" I asked coldly
"Because we're besties, what are best friends for" Nayeon said proudly
I froze in place and glanced at her
A deadly expression crosses my face
"Don't you ever mention that word in front of me again" I muttered coldly
"Huh, which word" Nayeon said as she turned to me and froze in fear
I glanced at her and sighed, snapping out of my reverie
"Don't worry, it's nothing " I said calmly, reverting back to my gentle look
Nayeon glared at me as she pouted
"You've got to stop doing that..., you almost gave me a heart attack" Nayeon said as she held her chest and took deep breaths
I continued walking forward
"Have your parents already told you to quit school " Nayeon asked worriedly as she walked beside me
I turned a deaf ear to her words
Nayeon glanced at me out of the corner of her eye
"Nari, are you still angry" Nayeon asked softly
"No" I said calmly
"That doesn't sound sincere… but I'm sorry." Nari said sadly.
"I'm not angry" I said coldly
'you alone isn't enough to rouse my anger' I thought mockingly as I glanced at her
"If you say so… but stay with me today, okay? I don't want anything somethings' happening again" Nayeon said gently.
I nodded non-commitally
"Then let's get to class" Nayeon said as she hopped forward
After a while
I came out of the school entrance with Nayeon still following after me
"School was so tiring today....., Do you want to go shopping today Nari" Nayeon asked
"No" I said indifferently
"What about..." Nayeon asked
I stopped in my tracks, cutting her off
Nayeon glanced at me with confusion
"Why did you stop Nari" Nayeon asked with furrowed brows
"Do you know where I can make some money around here" I asked as I turned to face her
"Why do you need to make money, what do you want to buy" Nayeon asked with crossed arms
I froze for a moment as I considered telling her
"I want to buy a laptop" I said as I shrugged my shoulders
"Why didn't you tell me..., I can buy one for you" Nayeon said as she patted her chest
"No, I'm not interested" I said coldly
"Okay..., but if you want to buy a laptop, you would need to work for a whole month before you would be able to do so" Nayeon said
" Anything's fine" I said
"You can buy borrow mine after all I don't have anything I want to use it for so it's been rusting at my house" Nayeon said enthusiastically
I glanced at her with a whisper of a smile on my face
Nayeon gazed at me in surprise
"What is it" I asked with raised brows
"I just realised that it's been a long time since I've seen you smile" Nayeon said sadly
The smile quickly faded from my face as I turned away.
