Chapter 11: Sasuke, I'm Hungry…
"Students shouldn't fight each other!"
Iruka looked at the children in front of him, his head throbbing with pain.
He had just learned the reason for the two missing students back in the teachers' office. Both entire families had been murdered.
Or more accurately — the two boys had killed the adults in both households. Including the two children who had stabbed each other through the heart with kunai, a total of ten people had died last night.
According to the investigators' report, the strength the two boys used when stabbing each other was exactly the same. Such a thing would be impossible unless they had been controlled by someone.
The biggest problem now was that some people were already suggesting this incident might be connected to the demon fox, Naruto. After all, Naruto had been hospitalized after being beaten by those two boys. The moment Naruto returned to school, the two children ended up dead. Suspicion was already growing — was this the demon fox's revenge?
"Iruka-sensei, what's wrong?"
Naruto lay on his desk, tilting his head as he looked at Iruka with a mix of curiosity and faint concern.
Although nothing that happened in the teachers' office could be hidden from him, he wasn't worried at all.
The people of Konoha… He would take his time. Let them slowly experience the demon fox's revenge!
"It's nothing. Let's continue with class…"
Iruka didn't know how to explain it to Naruto. Because of the complete annihilation of those two families, Naruto would likely face another strict investigation.
Although they probably wouldn't arrest him outright, no one could be sure.
"Oh…"
Naruto continued lying on his desk, watching the distracted Iruka begin the lesson. He slowly closed his eyes and fell asleep again.
He needed a good rest. Tonight, it was finally time to have a little chat with the Nine-Tails.
By the way, its name seemed to be Kurama…
Being a Jinchuriki wasn't fun at all. If his plan worked, he really wanted to slowly devour the Nine-Tails.
"Class is dismissed for lunch break…"
Iruka finally managed to get through the morning lessons. He quickly packed up his materials and left the classroom.
As for the students messing around, there were people watching, so he didn't need to worry for now.
"Finally, break time… I'm so sleepy… and so hungry…"
Naruto lay on his desk, clutching his stomach and letting out a pitiful groan.
His soul might have evolved, but his body still needed food and rest. Unfortunately, he hadn't had time to eat anything this morning before being dragged to school.
Everyone around him was now taking out their lunches, while he alone was left with an empty stomach…
"You didn't bring any food?"
Sasuke had just opened his bento box when he suddenly felt a pair of big, sparkling eyes staring at him. Those ocean-blue eyes were filled with pure pity and grievance…
Being stared at like that, the young Sasuke — who had yet to experience any real hardship — suddenly felt a pang of guilt in his chest.
But he hadn't even bullied this guy!
"Last night I only drank half a carton of milk, and Iruka-sensei didn't give me time to eat this morning. I don't have a bento either… Sasuke…"
Naruto blinked his pitiful eyes again, staring hopefully at Sasuke. He wanted to see how the still-adorable version of Sasuke would react.
Thinking about how this boy would grow up to become that foul-tempered avenger made him especially eager to interact with the current Sasuke.
Especially those slightly confused eyes, the chubby little cheeks, and the lips tightly bitten in hesitation…
Too bad he didn't have a camera right now. He really wanted to take more pictures to keep as souvenirs. One day, he could show them to the grown-up Sasuke…
