Chapter 3 - 3.Not Enough Yet

Looks like I am still alive. The pain is still lingering but bleeding stopped. I lost too much blood, why am I not dead yet. Maybe I can't die. A sound of snaping broke the silence and I can see once more.

"Hey Victor, Welcome back."

This is a real person but how does he know me.

He continues, "You have performed well during last sessions. I hope you can endure next ones so that you can get what you have signed for."

"Hold on you are saying that I asked for this?"

"Well of course. Why would I do this to you, if not."

The person before me is not too old, might be in his late twenties. He is muscular and has dark black hair with a pair of crystal blue eye. On his shoulder rests a bird, a hawk maybe with a curved beak and talons. I was so concentrated on him; I didn't notice the change in my surrounding. We are in a chamber made of those black things.

"Let me introduce myself once again. I am Kiri-Shama. You can call me Karry if you like."

"Why would anyone want this, this is no pleasure."

"You would understand once we are done with your sessions. Let us continue it then."

He throws a piler from that metal box and the black thing shape itself into human and catch it. The extensions from his body forced my mouth open. He took hold of my front tooth and slowly started pulling it out.

"Do you feel it? The tooth cutting ties with the nerve endings, ripping of all the consecutive interlockings and the warmth of blood in your mouth. Normally, the process will leave anyone traumatize but you are not feeling much of it, do you?"

I lost two canines, a front tooth and a molar from each side. I spit the blood and "I am still a human you freak, of course it hurts and a lot as a matter of fact."

"I am not a bad being and it's not like I took anything from you."

"Of course not. You took nothing, you are just giving me, giving me the pain of my entire life."

"Let's try it another way. What do you think of humans?"

"Let me think. Oh, I am too busy enduring this pain I can't think."

He waved his hand and the black thing move aside.

"Well, according to me, humans are as insignificant as animals and insects are to them. They have evolved but not much, fighting over trivial matters and destroying themselves. They don't question their existence just easing their lives."

"That's not true, people have tried but that only gave birth to new opinions and followed them new problems."

"But destroying each other? That is not why humans were made different from other beings. Gods gave humans life, even walked amongst them for helping them in difficult times. Then why not just live the life, enjoy the happy parts, grief their loses and move on."

"What's your point?"

"The point is humans are not the most superior being. The deities are. But is that true?"

"What are you getting at?"

"Just like humans, deities came into existence somehow. Do you think their level can be attained by humans through forced evolution?"

"You are mad if you think deities are another level of evolution that can be achieved."

"Am I?"

"Wait, did I agree to this? What was I thinking? Are you lying to me that I agreed to your absurd proposal?"

"Well, I could tell you but I think I'll wat for you to pass the next phase."

"Wait, I don't want this anymore. I never would have agreed to this. This is a misunderstanding. Please, please let me go."

He made a gesture and the chair I was sitting started modeling itself. The sitting part matched the plane of vertical support, hands completely stretched and now I am pinned like Jesus on a cross.

Kiri-Shama left the room. The lights are gone too. The only ones left are myself and that imitation of human. Now in the dark, I am waiting for something that should not happen to a human.

He said I agreed to this; I might have accepted death rather than enduring this. At least I would have dies in peace without any regrets.
