Tatski walks down a long white hall. Both her arms are handcuffed behind her back and she's lead by two guards in white uniforms. They lead her into a room full of other people with similar outfits to her own.
The guards release her handcuffs and closes the large metal doors behind them. Tatski looks around at the other people in the room. One boy walks up to her and stares at her with a blank expression
Boy: "You must be new here…"
Tatski takes a step back and nods. The boys arms are both tied to his back due to a straight jacket
Tatski: "Where are we?"
He steps forward and grins
Boy: "This is hell…if you ever have dreams about seeing your family or friends again…crush them. People like us don't leave this place alive…."
Tatski: "People like us? What does that mean?"
The boy laughs and struggles against the jacket
Boy: "We are the gifted! Beings sent from the heavens to do gods unholy deeds he cannot fulfill himself! We are the chosen! WE ARE THE ELI-"
The two guards shock him with two long rods and he falls to the ground shaking and grinning
Boy: "You will learn your place in this society, hahah" the guards drag him away.
Tatski stands there awkwardly rubbing her arm. Another girl walks up to her and pats her shoulders comforting her
???: "Dont mind him…he's a nut case…"
Tatski: "Alright…so…where are we? And who are you?"
The girl smiles and looks around
???: "I'm suyome. This is a lab in Kyoto. It's run by an organization that works independently away from the central government and has more ties to the CIA in America."
Tatski: "Why am I here? Why are any of us here? I'm still confused about my purpose!"
Suyome points at the different people and the guards
Suyome: "We are gifted. We own supernatural abilities that the average human does not possess…your white hair tells me they've had their eyes on you for awhile…"
Tatski: "What do you mean supernatural powers? I don't understand…"
Suyome: "Everyone here has some form of supernatural power…they find us…take us and experiment on us…they give us names. My name code name is siren. The name on your uniform says witch…that's odd."
Tatski looks down at her uniform and a name tag stitched to the uniform does indicate her code name
The iron doors open and a women carrying a brief case wearing an all white dress walks into the room. She clears her throat and everyone's attention turns to her
Cujack: "I am Tami Cujack. You all have been chosen to be soldiers by the Japanese government. You all possess abilities that far exceed human comprehension…you all will be trained, geared and ready to fight our biggest enemies."
An awkward silence makes the room dead silent. Cujak clears her throat again and the lights cut off and a projector lights up
Cujack: "You are called the K-Team. The K stands for Kaiju. Our world has a secret looming threat. The kaiju are monsters created in the great beyond or outer space as one would put it. Kaiju the size of small buildings appear on earth every here and there and it's our job to defeat them."
???: "Why haven't we heard anything about this on the news or media?"
Cujack snaps her finger and points at the girl
Cujack: "We have heavy control of the media and anyone who witnesses the events of a Kaiju attack are subjugated to intense mind dilution and wiping all together. Each of you possess a code name. That code name will be used on the battle field and during debriefings. There's more to the job but this was just a quick introduction. I have faith in you all."
Cujack turns and leaves the room. The lights cut on and Tatski turns to Suyome with a terrified expression
Tatski: "What the hell was she talking about?! Monsters?! Kaiju?! Outer space?! What does that all mean?!"
Suyome: "I told you we are gifted…welcome to the K-team…"
[2 weeks after the disappearance of Tatski]
Beatrice, Hana and Sora are on a train talking among themselves. Soras eyes are filled with glee but Beatrice's face has a look of horror on it.
Beatrice: "The organization captures people?! Just ordinary people on the street?! That's ludicrous!"
Sora: "There doesn't seem to be a pattern in their kidnappings. They seem to take people between the ages of 15-17. Probably some sicko has a thing for children hehe"
Hana: "That's not funny…"
Sora opens her notebook
Sora: "My research tells me that their base of operations is located in the Kyoto region. It's not a 100% accurate description but we should have a good chance of finding more clues!"
Beatrice: "How come you always have good information or answers inside your notebook? It's kinda strange…"
Sora shrugs and flips through the pages
Sora: "For as long as I could remember, this notebook never let me down…everytime I open it…it's like an invisible force is feeding me information and I jsut write it down…"
Beatrice/Hana: "Creepy."
The train rings and starts pulling into a station
Intercom: "Next stop, Kyoto station."
The girls get up and grabs their things
Sora: "Tatski has been missing for two weeks. Let's go find our friend!"
They leave the train and walk into the crowded station.
[Warri household, 10:59 pm]
Shu sits on the floor of her room crying softly into a small pillow. Connie enters the room with his blank expression. He looks down at her and sighs
Connie: "Pull yourself together mother…she's gonna be back with us soon. The police are doing everything they can to find her…"
Shu: "Someone took my baby…they disguised themselves as police to take my child. How should i trust anything anyone says anymore?! HUH?! HOW CAN I EVEN TRUST YOU ANYMORE?! ARE YOU EVEN REALLY MY SON?!"
Connie doesn't get affected by the screaming. He stares at her and steps forward
Connie: "It's gonna be alright…I know it's hard…I've been trying my hardest too. But doing all this isn't gonna bring her back any sooner…"
Shu gets up and lunges at Connie punching his chest. He doesn't budge. He stands there and endures each punch she starts crying while punching his chest…her punches get softer and softer before she collapses into his arms sobbing
Shu: "I just want my baby back…"
Connie: "I know…I know…
[Osaka Police Department]
Connie burst into the building with an enraged expression on his face. He walks straight up to the front desk and bangs his fist cracking the wood
Connie: "I want to speak to the chief! Now!"
The desk worker looks up with wide eyes
Desk Clerk: "W-well I just can't let y-you-"
Connie slams his hand again gaining the attention of the entire room
Connie: "I said now damnit! My little sister has been missing for almost 3 weeks and we have yet to even get a comfortable lead! Is this how you run this station?! Giving people false hopes?! I want to see the chief NOW."
The clerk flinches and points to an office down a hall. Connie takes off in a rage filled stride before swinging the door open and stepping in. The chief of police looks up at him sighs
Chief Don: "You have some balls of damn titanium to be bursting into my office like that. Who the hell are you and what the hell do you want?!"
Connie walks to his desk and slams his hands down
Connie: "I am Connie Warri. My sister is Tatski Warri. She has been missing for two and a half weeks! I've gained the suspicion that you all aren't even looking for her! I want answers! Now!"
The chief stands up and crosses his arms
Chief Don: "I don't take orders from anyone! And your sisters case has been passed onto the government. It is out of our hands now…"
Connie's eyes twitch in rage and he slams his hands again this time a burst of energy shakes the room. The chief notices and his eyebrows raise
Connie: "There's always something with you people! Listen you fat jelly filled piece of shit. My sister is 15 years old. Any creep would want a girl that vulnerable. I'm not stopping until she is found! Even if I have to go head to head with the entire Japanese government I will!"
The chief sees the determination in Connie's eyes and he sighs
Chief Don: "You're a lot like me when I was your age. You're what? 17? How about this. I'll help look for your sister…we'll do as best as we can possibly manage. You have a fire in you…passion for justice. I like that. When you turn 18 and graduate you should enlist for the police academy…I'll mentor you myself."
Connie's eyes widen and he unclenches his fist. He takes a deep breath and his blank demeanor returns
Connie: "Thank you Chief Don. And I'll tske your words into consideration…I'll be going now…"
The chief nods as Connie turns to leave the room
Chief Don: "That boy has potential to surpass even me as a police chief…"
[Kyoto, 2:45 am]
The girls stand infront of a large statue. Sora checks her notebook and the instructions appear on the page.
Sora: "it seems we've come to a dead end…my notes are all jumbled now."
Beatrice: "So what now? We can't just give up when we're so damn close!"
Hana: "She's right…our only solution is to make our own plans without your notes…"
Sora closes the book and starts looking around. She spots a dense line of bushes and peaks over them. She sees a pothole with a weird emblem on it and she grins
Sora: "Ladies…I think we just found our way in hehe…"
