Chapter 6 - Pervert's no Good, Really Bad Day

Sora swaggered into his class, for the first time truly aware of the people in the room, especially Issei, the supposed main character and future Boob Dragon Emperor. That is, until Sora iaccidentally fucked him over. Not to mention fucking over Rias if Issei's reincarnation still gobbled up all of her pawns.

Sora flinched slightly when Issei asked his two equally perverted friends about Yuuma, the girl he'd gone on a date with the day before. Unfortunately for Issei's already questionable mental health, nobody seemed to remember anything about her, even after he showed them a picture.

Why Rias hadn't filled him in on everything today was beyond Sora's comprehension. Maybe she wanted Issei to notice some of the changes in his body on his own as a test, or perhaps she simply forgot.

Sora decided for Occam's Razor approach. Sometimes, the simplest explanation is the best, and Sora huffed in indignation, unsure if it was a genuine mistake on Rias's part or simply negligence.

Finally, Issei approached Sora's desk, looking slightly apprehensive, and showed him the picture on his phone. It was a photo of an attractive girl with pitch-black hair dressed in jeans and a cream-colored sweater. Sora raised an eyebrow; if he didn't know any better, he wouldn't have guessed that this girl was a Fallen Angel just by her looks.

"Hmm? Never seen her. Guess she must have flown into the night…" Sora pondered quietly. The words shouldhopefully make sense only to Issei anyway; after all, he had likely seen her wings and her throwing spears of light around.

The brown-haired pervert paused for a moment, his mouth hanging open for a few seconds. Yup, Rias clearly hadn't talked to him yet; he was completely clueless about the supernatural.

"I'll explain after school... just don't get yourself beaten up by the Kendo club in the meantime," Sora sighed. He figured he might as well give the poor pervert a basic introduction.

He would probably end up having another talk with Rias anyway, so doing part of her job wasn't that big of a deal. Plus, if he wanted to avoid trouble, maintaining a relatively friendly relationship with the devils who own this town would be high on his priority list. And while he was confident he could take care ofboth of the peerages in the town with relative ease, he knew the same couldn't be said about a couple of angry siscon Satans.

The sigh that escaped Soracould have been felt on an existential level. He definitely needed a good drink after school today.

There was only one thing he could do to distract himself from the more inconvenient parts of reality: it was time to cause a little chaos. During lunch break, Sora struck by hiding the teacher's desk and chair in a boys' bathroom on a completely different floor.

A little basic? Perhaps. But it would be quite funny to watch people try to figure out how that happened, especially since there would be no evidence. Using his bubbles made transporting the desk and chair easy, and they fit easily into Sora's pockets.

Unfortunately, the desk was found before lunch break even ended. Fortunately, the trio of perverts was locked in one of the bathroom stalls, watching porn at full volume. An unintended prank was a surprise for sure, but a welcome one.

Oddly enough, the only consequence for the three chronic masturbators was that their laptop was seized until the end of the day. It was a light punishment, but at least Sora knew that getting them in trouble for this kind of stuff was a safe game now. If they wouldn't even be expelled for things like this, Sora was certain he could go much further with his pranks.

Eventually, the school day ended, and Sora waited by the gate for Issei to either take him up on the offer for an explanation or ditch it in favor of more porn with his friends.

Even as someone who grew up in a post-communist country, he had never seen three completely straight guys watch porn and wank together, certainly not this often. If that wasn't the true spirit of communism, then Sora didn't know what was.

The perverted trio rushed out of the gate, clearly heading home to do whatever it is they did when left alone. Sora barely resisted the urge to steal their ability to get aroused, although the temptation was incredibly high.

Issei seemingly forgot he wanted answers just a few hours prior. Not to mention that, if Sora remembered correctly, Issei was going to get speared today too. So, Sora headed home to grab more booze. He couldn't get through the day while remaining relatively sober, and he had already memorized Issei's life force signature, making it easy to find him.

Not to mention the obvious speed difference between himself and Issei. Sora had determined that, even while trying to minimize collateral damage, he could cross the entire Kuoh in a few seconds at most. That was much faster than any two-winged Fallen Angel could muster on their best day.

———

Akeno was more distracted than usual after her conversation with Sora. She couldn't shake the feeling that he resembled someone she had met long ago while she was still on the run from her 'family.'

During the one weekend she decided to stay with someone, she encountered a boy with the same name; even their features were strikingly similar. But as far as she knew, that entire family had been found dead shortly after she ran away. It was the only time she ever stayed anywhere longer than a day.

Oddly enough, her pursuers had been different members of the Himejima family the next time she was found. She rarely thought about that part of her life, but seeing someone she believed to be dead for seven years shook her more than a little.

But could it really be the same boy? He would likely not forget someone who had been involved in his family's deaths if it truly was him.

Even Rias looked concerned, as evidenced by the occasional glances she cast Akeno's way. Akeno winced; Rias knew her better than anyone, thanks to being her friend and king for six years. She would most likely have to explain her daze to Rias, along with revealing something she had always kept to herself.

There was too much to unpack in those memories. Not only had her mere existence led to her mother's death, but one of the first things she did while on the run was inadvertently lead her pursuers directly to an innocent family's home.

If this Sora and the boy whose room she had shared were indeed the same person, she could only hope he would never found out.

———

Today was an incredibly strange day for Issei Hyodo. First, his date from yesterday had completely vanished, and no one seemed to remember her. Then there was the unsettling memory of being stabbed by what he could only describe as a strangely shaped spear. But the weirdest thing was that the infamous prankster Sora clearly knew something.

Issei cursed himself for not accepting the black-haired boy's offer for an explanation, but it was some nice tits that were on the line. Who knew when he might see that particular scene again?

To be honest with himself, he only recalled Sora's offer after arriving at Matsuda's place, but by then, it was too late.

The strangeness didn't end there. Even after the lights were out, he realized he could still see perfectly. For a moment, he thought his friends were playing a prank on him, but watching them stumble around while he could see just fine convinced him they were serious.

The same strange clarity persisted when he left late in the evening; he could see the moon high in the sky, but his vision remained the same as if it were the middle of the day.

Suddenly, he was startled by voices nearby—a mother scolding her child for acting spoiled. Frantically, he looked around and belatedly noticed them at least a hundred meters away. There was no way he should have been able to hear them, especially from inside a store.

His confusion skyrocketed as he added enhanced senses along with the strange ability to see in the dark.

He bolted, moving much faster than he anticipated, though in his haste, he didn't even realize how quick he was. A few minutes later, he found himself at the park, right next to the fountain where he had supposedly died yesterday. Or was it all some bizarre dream? Memories of someone couldn't just vanish overnight, could they?

He paused to catch his breath, even though he didn't feel tired at all. He was slightly winded, but after running almost halfway across town, he should have been panting and barely able to walk as he used to.

While reminiscing about his date, a deep voice interrupted him, making him flinch.

"For me to run into someone like you... quite unfortunate." He turned abruptly to face a tall man in a trench coat and a fedora. Something felt terribly wrong.

Before he fully realized it, his body reacted. What was supposed to be a simple backpedal turned into a leap that carried him over the fountain. Issei took a moment to regain his balance, staring directly at the odd man.

"Running away, are you?" the man snarled and Issei turned on his heel and sprinted off, trying to distance himself from the clearly deranged individual.

Unfortunately, he didn't get far. A few seconds later, the man blocked his path, two crow-like wings sprouting from his back.

"Just like Yuma—" Issei muttered, distracted. The winged man grinned viciously.

"I see no master nearby, nor can I see any magical circle being deployed. I can only conclude that you must be a stray." His grin grew ever more bloodthirsty, causing Issei to freeze for a moment. But he quickly collected himself and bolted again at the sight of a bluish spear forming in the man's hand.

———

Sora stood in the shadow of a tree in the park, observing the confrontation between Issei and the trench coat-wearing weirdo with a slight sense of disappointment. Was this really supposed to be a Fallen Angel? He expected something a bit more intimidating.

This guy looked more like he was heading to commit a school shooting, especially with that trench coat and hat. The only thing missing was a gun.

However, when the spear began to materialize, Sora sprang into action, catching it before it could reach Issei.

"Wow, you can create those spears in any shape you like, and you choose this weird ornamental one over something that would be more aerodynamic..." He sighed as he tested the spear with a few swings, clearly unhappy with its feel.

"The balance of this thing is fucking horrendous, school-shooter guy," he drawled. It was clearly wrong to expect competence from grunts.

Issei paused, confused yet relieved that he wasn't killed by the creepy-looking guy. He would much rather face death at the hands of a pretty girl.

"You... saving a stray like this. Who are you?" The Fallen frowned, watching Sora twirl his Spear of Light like a toy.

"Me? I'm just your friendly neighborhood human. And I just saved you a lot of trouble." Sora shrugged and buried the spear tip into the ground. "Gremory devils are quite fond of their servants from what I've heard, especially of the new ones."

"A contracted magician here?" The Fallen took a small step back, but his face still wore the same demented smile, as if he either didn't hear Sora or simply didn't care.

Another spear manifested in his hand, which he threw towards Sora; much faster than the first one aimed at Issei. But Sora didn't flinch; he raised his arm casually. The spear made contact, and a loud scraping noise echoed through the night as the spear slowly lost power and disintegrated, leaving no mark on Sora at all.

"My turn." Sora vanished from the taller man's sight and delivered a powerful dropkick that hit the Fallen perfectly. He could hear a few ribs crack as his foot connected with the Fallen's ribcage.

The impact sent the unfortunate edgelord angel flying, causing him to crash into a tree. His eyes widened in shock; his expression shifted from bloodlust to something between grudging respect and fear almost instantly. He could sense the strength behind that kick and recognized this attack was far from Sora's full power.

———

The park lit up with an eerie red light as a blood-like magical circle blinked into existence right behind Issei.

"Well, would you look at that. It seems they sensed the scuffle taking place," Sora pondered aloud as three figures materialized from the light, scanning the area for danger.

The Fallen looked at the figure of Rias, his gaze fixing on her red hair for a moment, and sighed heavily as he got to his feet.

"I see, so there truly is a Gremory in this town. I shall be taking my leave then," he said, unfurling his wings. "You shouldn't let your servants roam around freely like this. Someone might mistake them for strays." He tried to sound threatening, but the way he hunched over and nursed his ribs took away from his intimidation factor.

"Next time you try to pull shit like this, I'll break more than just a few ribs, edgelord angel," Sora warned him calmly. This guy was no threat at all, which was a shame, as he had been hoping for at least a moderately fun fight.

"My name is Dohnaseek, human," the wounded Fallen Angel growled before turning to the devils. "Pray we never meet again, Gremory." He then shot into the sky, his wings carrying him away.

"Well, that was a massive disappointment," Sora said, opening a bottle and quickly taking a swig of the homemade liquor. "Welp, you guys have it under control now, and even the pervert is unharmed, so—"

"You're not going anywhere just yet," Rias said sternly. She stood in a relaxed posture, but Sora could sense her magic running wild beneath her skin. She had come prepared to fight if needed.

"Fuck, and here I hoped to just go to sleep..." He took another swig before hiding the bottle. "You do the explaining, though. The pervert needs to know what he is now." He pointed out the obvious.

"Very well, meet us inside the Occult Research Club as soon as you can." Rias nodded, her magic calming down.

"I'll wait for you there," Sora replied before taking off. There was no sign of him jumping; no sound or flash of light. He simply vanished from the sight of the devils before they could even start teleporting out.

Getting inside the clubroom wasn't difficult. Sora simply stole a window pane using his bubbles and returned it right after he got in. Clean entrance, no alarms raised. However, he did make Kiba jump out of his armchair. The blond boy quickly materialized a sword but lowered his guard when he saw the red light of a teleportation circle flash and the rest of the peerage arrive, along with a very confused Issei.

"President—" Kiba started, but Rias motioned for him to lower his weapon, her gaze locked on Sora.

"You're fast... too fast to be a normal human," she commented, and she wasn't entirely wrong.

"See? I told you you'd probably need a drink with me around," Sora smirked, pulling out the bottle again and shaking it in front of the redhead.

"I took a sniff before. It's more than half made of pure ethanol. I'm not drinking that." She crossed her arms under her breasts, whether unconsciously or to try and redirect attention, Sora couldn't tell.

"It's only sixty percent alcohol," Sora whined, severely disappointed in the weakness of the devil constitution.

"Well, more for me, I guess." He shrugged and lounged back in one of the armchairs, as if he owned the building.

Issei, sat on the couch next to Sora's armchair, was still partially in shock and quite twitchy—something that happens after narrowly escaping being Kebabed.

"What is going on here? Why was I almost killed today? And who the hell are you people?!" Issei finally snapped, blurting out the first things that came to mind.

"He is asking the right questions... especially the 'hell' part," Sora chuckled as he adjusted his position.

"The thing is, Issei-kun, we are devils," Rias said, trying to ignore Sora's attempts at humor. "All of us, apart from Sora, are devils. Yes, even Koneko." She added, seeing Issei look around like he was in the den of dragons.

"The guy larping as the Columbine shooter was a Fallen Angel. They aren't the biggest fans of devils," Sora added more information leisurely, finally finding a comfortable spot. "As far as I know, both sides fight over some contested territory in the underworld,"

Rias paused to look at Sora, noting that he had more information than an average human who had just recently become aware of the supernatural.

"Very simplified, but not incorrect," she conceded.

"And then there are the proper angels, ufufu." Akeno said as she emerged from the small kitchen, bearing tea and snacks.

"I haven't met one of those so far. I've only met devils, yokai, and a Magical Girl," Sora listed off, resisting the urge to laugh as Issei turned his head towards him.

"Magical Girl? Like a real one? Was she hot?" The questions came out fast, as if they were his default setting, eliciting a giggle from Akeno while Koneko mumbled something about perverts.

"Smoking hot," Sora nodded, gaining Issei's full attention. "I would say she's a ten on the hot scale. Unfortunately, she ranks a solid nine on the crazy scale. She almost blew me the fuck up when we met." Sora pondered this with a thoughtful expression, taking in the shocked looks from Kiba and Koneko. Rias seemed to short-circuit for a moment, while Akeno had to sit down from giggling too hard. Serously, was she unable to laugh normally?

"Magical Girls are dangerous; never piss one off unless you are as awesome as I am," Sora warned Issei, barely keeping a straight face. This explanation thing might actually be fun; who knew?
