"Ahh~ home sweet home."
We had just got back to base and we're to tired to do anything. I mean fighting and killing hundreds of thousands of The lost was something none of us had done before but I get the feeling it won't be the last.
"Alright. Everyone wash up and meet me at my lab after we finish eating."
The group nodded and split up, the women heading in one direction while the men headed to another. Although the base wasn't much, it at least has two separate bathrooms, one for men and one for women. As for me, I have my own private bathroom.
Great sage, compile everything you noticed on what happened today and create a simulation. I need to review it and see if there's anything I missed, also we need to make some contingency plans for a few things.
[Answer: Affirmative.]
Also how goes operation demon slayer? They're starting to get annoying now.
[Answer: Operations demon slayer is progressing smoothly. The warp containment field and anti-interference zone are the ones that are still a problem.]
I see. Well keep going I'll help you out when I'm done with plans. Oh by the way, can look for a way to properly deal with my emotions and inner conflicts. I don't want anyone taking advantage of me when I'm still like this so I would like you to look or come up with a way for me to achieve inner peace.
I've been shoving any and all my negative thoughts and feelings to one thought processing to deal with and now I have to add more baggage to that with what happened today.
Damn, how do some people not feel anything when killing living beings? Are they mentally damaged or challenged? I'm only able to act this calm and collected thanks to great sage's skills.
—sigh—
Fuck it, I'll deal with this shit when I'm well rested. For now I have to wash up, eat and begin the meeting.
With those thoughts current going through my mind, I went to my lab and took a thorough bath and then I went to eat dinner with the others. Nobody said a thing the whole time, everyone was mentally and physically exhausted. Finishing up, we went to my lab and I told them what's about to happen and the changes that must be made.
—clap—
"I know everyone is exhausted and just want to sleep so I'll keep things brief. First of all, I want you all to give me all your equipment so that I can upgrade them, meaning no more missions until your all properly equipped. Second of all, all of you—including me— need to undergo a serious upgrade so I'll start enhancement surgery for everyone. Third of all I noticed, not everyone has role to play in this team so I'll give you all something to do and specialize in whether it be combat, scouting, medical, communications or even inventing, etc. Everyone needs to have a role to play."
"That will be all for now. I want you all to think on it especially my second and third points cause the first one isn't optional."
"""Yes boss!"""
"Good. Your all dismissed."
I watched everyone go to their rooms and I went to mine. I'm determined to turn this team into something even if I don't know my future goals or direction currently but for now this will do.

3rd POV.
"Fuck!! Emperor damn it Lappland!!! You said we wouldn't be attacked!!"
"Hahahahhahha!!! I said might not— not that they won't!!"
Vera and Lappland dodged a barrage of lasers and turned at the nearest corner, and bolted while weaving between the underhive dregs. They had been sent here negotiate with the water cartels and that didn't turn out well, when you consider the fact that Lappland thought that they weren't worthy of get their boss's weapons so she decided to steal almost half of their water and weapon supplies before she was caught. This in turn led to them being chaised by the rest of the gang members, well those who managed to get their hands on the remaining weapon.
Oh Her menace doesn't stop there. She did the same with the other water cartels, only this time Vera was there to help her and thus they pissed off one third of the gangs in the underhive. Their mission was a failure or a succes if you look at it from another perspective— Lappland's perspective. She not only got the water they needed and more of it too, she also took their guns for their boss to tinker with and improve thus making sure that she and the other squads got more weaponry.
Well she doesn't really care about guns as long as her sword and armour are good then she okay.
"This is Alpha, Epsilon do you read me?"
Vera twisted her body dodging another laser causing it to hit an underhiver and killed, she then used telekinesis to throw the body behind her accurately hitting her shooter. She then tapped the side of her helmet to reconnect to the other side.
"Wait your calling them!? WHY!? We still have more time!"
Lappland shouted out in indignation while dodging only to be rebuked by Vera.
"No we don't! So shut up and let me listen to the other side."
—Tsk—
"This is Epsilon, we got our target and an unexpected guest that boss might be interested in."
"Guest?"
"Yes, a unique guest."
"I see. Let's rendezvous at our planned location. Though we might be a bit late since Lappland decided to cause trouble."
"Haha. Seeing as your not using code names then I assume your very annoyed."
"You don't know the half of it."
She tapped her side and cut of the transmission, then looked at Lappland signaled her to end this.
"Aww I was having so much fun though."
Vera snapped.
"We're here on a mission for Emperor's sake! Not for you to have fun."
"Party pooper."
Lappland pouted behind her helmet before sharply twisted her body, cutting of her momentum in a smooth motion as she turned to face the incoming gangsters. Letting out a quiet sigh, she pulled out her sword from its sheath and dashed forward at blinding speed.
To the men facing her, it looked less like movement and more like teleportation. One moment she was few meters away and the next, she appeared in front of the foremost gangster, well it might have looked like that from the gangster. She beheaded him before he could react and went on to the next one, cutting him diagonally from the shoulder to the waist in a spray of blood before vanishing from sight once more, only to appear in the middle of the group. Dropping low, she twisted with the flow of her momentum, her sword sweeping out in a deadly arc that bisected several gangsters at the waist.
Only then did the gangster finally react yet they were still too slow as Lappland instantly vanished and started massacring them. Wherever she appeared heads started rolling.
"Shit!!! Shoot her!! Shoot her damn it!! Somebody!! Anybody!! Shoot this bit—"
The shouting gangster suddenly saw a body standing there pointing out yet it was missing a head.
Is that my bod—
That thought never got to finish it course since the person died.
"Ahhhh!!! The leader is dead!! She fucki—"
""Aaahh!!""
"Die!!Die!!"
Screams rang out as gangsters died one by one. The underhivers watching this massacre shivered in fear since they were watching their overlords were being slaughtered like cattle.
She finished not long after and walked towards Vera, blade dripping with blood.
"Aren't you gonna burn the bodies? We don't want any more of THEIR minions being born."
"Nah it's fine. Let them serve as food for the underhivers."
Vera nodded her head and they both walked away, going towards their destination.
__☆__
It didn't take long for the two of them to arrive at their destination. It was one of the 'lost' pathways that went up to the lower hive that was found by the Zeta squad, it initially was covered by debris and was contaminated by toxic chemicals until they cleared everything up and hid it so that they were the only ones who knew of its location. The pathway was also large enough that it could fit multiple vehicles moving side by side.
"So this is the special guest huh? An Eldari and a dark one too."
"Never thought there was a sane Drukhari anywhere in the galaxy. I'm sure boss is either freaking out or thinking of ways to kill it."
Both girls were understandably shocked by this knowledge, I mean what are the chances that there would be a sane Dark Eldar in a remote planet like theirs. No the better question should be, how the fuck is there a fucking sane Dark Eldar!? Weren't they supposed to be the corrupted version of the usual Eldari, black-hearted, sadistic and malicious motherfuckers. They are probably the most hated species in the entire warhammer verse. Probably more then the Tyranids?
(A/N: Which species is more hated between the two?)
"Alpha, the boss told me to tell you not to use witch-sigh on it."
Epsilon warned Vera and he did so on time since she was about to do just that.
"Verily, thy speech is rude indeed, as though I stood not here amongst thee."
A surprisingly soft voice called them out on what they said about her. Who would have thought that the Dark Eldar has such a voice. It was lower, darker sounding and it had a raspy and husky tone and texture with a mystical quality in it that pulls you in.
(A/N: she sounds like Emma stone when talking in her natural voice but with a fantasy element to it.)
The three leaders and the rest of the Epsilon squad looked at her and then back at themselves, shrugged and apologized though you can tell that they didn't care what the Dark Eldar thought. Epsilon turned to address his squad—
"Anyway. It looks like everyone's here. It's time to head back home."
"Yeah!"
And with that they head back to their base.

And the chapter ends. Um.. hi guys sorry for the late post. I honestly have no excuse besides the fact that I didn't know what to write or in what direction the story should go from here on out. Now that I have some idea of what to do then do expect more chapters.
Also the next chapter is gonna be an interlude. I also have a question: what do you guys think of omakes? Do you like them or not ? Cause personally I really like them. One of my favorite ones are looking through Glass and the Arachne ones from Nascent kaleidoscope.
Anyway check out my other fanfic. Shadow slave: key of stars
