Chapter 8 - "Sora, You’re Still Young."

-----

Watching Rin Tohsaka cling to his leg, Frieren look curious, and Emilia gaze at him in awe, Lucian leaned back on the sofa and stretched lazily.

Since the system had already boosted his aura to "supreme mysterious power" level, he figured he might as well embrace it fully.

[Part-time Ghost-Hunting Genius Teacher]: "No need to be so surprised. Maybe it's just that the 'power system' I use doesn't quite mesh with this chat group. A little misunderstanding, that's all. At heart, I really am just a math teacher who loves peace."

He said it so casually that it only added to his air of mystery.

"Ding-dong—"

Just as Lucian was enjoying his moment as the big shot in the chat, the apartment doorbell rang.

He left the chat and got up to open the door.

Outside stood a panting delivery guy, holding a neatly packaged shopping bag. "Hello! Your order has arrived. Please sign for it."

"Thanks for your hard work."

Lucian took the bag and closed the door.

He glanced down at the package. Through the semi-transparent wrapping, he could barely make out the elegant casual dress inside. Nothing else seemed to be in the bag.

Did this guy forget the underwear?

He opened the bedroom door. On the bed, Yukino Yukinoshita was still curled up tightly under the single blanket.

Hearing the door open, she set her phone aside, her deep blue eyes peeking out from the blanket with a mix of shyness and nervousness, staring straight at him.

Lucian stepped into the room with the delivery bag. He cleared his throat and held it out.

"Yukinoshita, your clothes are here."

Like a startled rabbit, she stretched out a slender, pale arm from under the covers and pulled the bag in close.

"Th-thank you, teacher."

She fumbled inside the bag, eager to check the clothes. But after a quick search, her hand froze.

Inside was only the soft casual dress.

Her underwear? Nothing.

Her mind went blank, then memories came rushing back.

When she placed the order, she'd been distracted by a teasing call from her sister Hina Yukinoshita and flustered from imagining Lucian in the kitchen earlier. In her panic, she'd only paid for the dress. The underwear was still sitting in another site's shopping cart!

"What's wrong?" Lucian asked, noticing her strange movements under the blanket.

"N-nothing!"

Her voice trembled, and her flawless face beneath the covers was burning bright red.

Great. All her intimate clothes were in the laundry, and now she'd forgotten to buy new ones.

If she ordered again, the stores would already be closed.

This meant she'd have to sleep in the same bed as the man who had taken her first… under the same blanket tonight… and stay in a completely "naked under the sheets" state.

Just thinking about the thin blanket and the possibility of accidental contact made her body heat spike.

"I… I'll go take a shower first."

To cover her embarrassment and wash off the mud and stickiness left from earlier's ridiculous "detox ritual," she gripped the hem of the oversized men's shirt, took a deep breath, and climbed out of bed, her legs still a little wobbly. Without looking Lucian in the eye, she bolted to the bathroom next to the living room.

Click—the door locked behind her.

Soon, the sound of the shower filled the room.

Lucian shook his head and sank into the sofa, enjoying the soft cushions.

He idly checked the chat group, where members were still freaking out over his "beyond system limit" question mark level, enjoying this rare moment of relaxation.

But it didn't last long.

Suddenly, he felt a sharp gaze piercing his side.

He turned to see Sora Kasugano sitting properly at the other end of the sofa, holding a plush rabbit. Her delicate black eyes, doll-like in precision, shone with resentment, jealousy, and just a touch of yandere intensity.

The siblings locked eyes across the room amid the shower's rush.

Finally, Sora broke the silence.

Biting her pink lower lip, her voice soft but accusatory, she asked, "You're not… going to sleep in the same room as your female student again tonight, are you?"

Lucian's scalp tingled, but he maintained his teacherly composure. "Out of necessity. She's weak, and at night in her condition, she can't safely go home alone."

Sora's eyes narrowed, the dangerous gleam intensifying. "Then… you won't be sharing the bed?"

"There's only one spare blanket. The other one got… uh… messed up," Lucian explained, gritting his teeth. "Besides, your bedroom is strictly off-limits. I won't let anyone in. She can't exactly sleep on the sofa, can she?"

Hearing "sharing the bed," Sora's plush rabbit nearly got squished in her hands.

She jumped up, stomping her shoe on the floor, glaring at him. "If there's only one blanket, why didn't you sleep with me? Why give it to that foreign fox!"

"Uh…"

Seeing his little sister so adorably jealous, Lucian blurted instinctively, "You're still young."

"....."
