Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: Loki sets his sights on Parker Tower...

only three people were still standing.

The leader was Loki, who had been accidentally teleported away by Tony last time. However, Loki now showed some obvious changes compared to his last visit to Earth.

His clothes were duller, his face paler, and his overall aura was gloomier—he looked exactly like someone who had gone dark!

Moreover, Loki now held a golden scepter embedded with a blue gem!

This wasn't gungnir, the weapon of the All-Father that Loki had brought last time; gungnir hadn't been teleported away with him.

After the Bifrost Bridge closed, it turned into a streak of rainbow light and returned to Odin's hand in Asgard.

After all, Odin wouldn't let his King's weapon fall into the hands of mortals like Tony and Peter!

However, the scepter Loki held now was not at all weaker than Odin's gungnir; in a sense, it was even stronger!

Because it was one of the greatest treasures of the Universe, the Mind Stone!

Its core was made from one of the six Infinity Stones, the Mind Stone.

Loki used it to easily wipe out the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents guarding the Tesseract and mind-controlled two people.

The first person controlled was naturally Hawkeye, who was also controlled in the original movie. This time, as the Guardian of the Tesseract, he still couldn't escape.

The second person controlled was not Dr. Erik from the original story. After all, Dr. Erik had already been recruited by Parker Industries with a high salary; there was no way he would go against the natural order to work for S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Slave House.

So for the research on the Tesseract, Nick Fury found a replacement for Dr. Erik named Dr. Otto Gunther Octavius.

Also known as the legendary Doctor Octopus!

But the current Dr. Otto was clearly not yet Doctor Octopus, as he didn't have those iconic four mechanical octopus arms on his back.

Loki picked up the azure Tesseract that had fallen to the ground after knocking down Nick Fury, a crazed smile curling his lips:

"Hahaha, the Tesseract, a spatial treasure left by Odin on Midgard. With it, I can summon my army to conquer Midgard once again, and... get revenge!"

"Revenge against that Tin Man who teleported me to the depths of the Universe, and revenge against those disgusting bug families!!!"

Just as Loki was becoming delirious with the prospect of his successful revenge, Hawkeye walked over with a cold face: "Boss, it's time to go. This place is about to collapse."

Hearing this, Loki calmed down slightly, nodded, and placed the Tesseract into the isolation briefcase in Hawkeye's hand, following him toward the Base's garage.

The controlled Dr. Otto naturally followed, saying as he walked:

"Boss, the space teleportation instrument here has been damaged. If we want to use the Tesseract to open a spatial portal again, we'll need a power source sufficient to activate it and a spatial instrument that can stably open the portal."

Upon hearing this, Loki's newly ignited excitement was immediately dampened. He rubbed his brow with a headache: "Power source, spatial instrument... If I had known, I would have had Thanos give me those two things as well. Do you know where there are ready-made ones on Earth?"

Dr. Otto shrugged: "I have a plan for an artificial sun, but that would take at least half a year. And the space teleportation instrument I made at S.H.I.E.L.D. was destroyed by your arrival. Building another one would take at least half a month..."

Loki:...If he'd known, he wouldn't have fired the Mind Stone wildly after being teleported... At this moment, Hawkeye, who was leading the way, paused and said without looking back: "I know a place where both of these things exist together..."

Loki's eyes lit up as he pressed: "Where?"

Hawkeye said slowly: "Parker Tower. Parker Tower's power source uses Stark's large-scale arc reactor, which is definitely stable enough to be used as a power source to activate the Tesseract."

"I also heard that Tony Stark built a finished space teleportation device a while ago to find the missing Spider Monarch. That device is currently complete and stored in Parker Tower."

"So Parker Tower can satisfy both of Dr. Otto's requirements at once."

Hearing this, Loki's pale face flushed with excitement: "Yes! Yes! That's it! It's as if the ancestors of Asgard themselves are aiding my revenge!"

"The devices I need are all in the very building I intend to take revenge on. How could there be such a coincidence? This is simply too good!"

"I've decided. The location to open the spatial portal will be Parker Tower. I want that damn bug family to watch as my army takes over the whole World, starting from his building!"

"Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!"

Loki laughed excitedly, but Hawkeye and Dr. Otto, controlled by the Mind Stone, remained expressionless, showing no emotion at all, which made Loki feel bored.

Then he thought of something and looked at Dr. Otto:

"By the way, remember to open the spatial exit in the sky this time. I don't want to be blocked by that damn Spider Monarch alone again, cutting off my entire army!"

"Once my army is all out, no matter how strong that damn Spider Monarch is, he'll be powerless against an entire army!"

Dr. Otto nodded in understanding.

Meanwhile, Hawkeye had led the two to the garage.

They happened to run into Agent Hill, who was on guard there.

As they met, Nick Fury's voice came through Agent Hill's earpiece: "Agent Hill, Agent Barton has defected. They have taken the Tesseract. Stop them!"

Actually, even without Nick Fury's words, as soon as Hill, the Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., saw Loki, she immediately recognized the guy who had appeared on Stark Tower three months ago, planning to let the Frost Giant race invade Earth!

So Hill immediately drew her gun and emptied the magazine at Loki.

But Loki was, after all, a member of the Frost Giant royal family. Ordinary bullets were completely ineffective against him, only creating a series of sparks on his body.

Loki simply ignored the bullets, quickly approached Hill in two steps, grabbed her by the collar, and threw her out violently!

Thud——

With a dull thud, Gwen slammed into the wall and slowly slid down to the ground.

Then she lay on the ground, unable to stand up again.

As Gwen lay incapacitated, Ryan received another Spider Abilities boost.

Before this, he had already gained Spider Abilities boosts from defeating Ben and May!

In other words, Ryan had gained three more Spider Abilities boosts!

The power boosts Ryan gained from his three consecutive victories weren't actually the biggest surprise; the biggest surprise was the upgrade to his Spider-Sense!
