Once Peter reached the room, Cortana kept naming animal after animal.
Every now and then, he wondered what would happen if he gave one a name related to the animal itself. For example, when she mentioned having a deer, he briefly wondered what would happen if he named it Harry, after Harry the Deer from Open Season.
Other times, she suggested extinct animals.
Peter asked how she planned to bring them back, but all he got in response was that she would take care of everything.
Even so, he refused.
He also refused to let her play with life and death, not to mention the laws of nature.
After exhausting the list of extinct animals, Cortana moved on to mythical creatures.
Griffins.
Unicorns.
Manticores.
With every creature that came out of her mouth, Peter's sense of unease grew stronger, as though something deep inside him was warning him not to play God.
For some strange reason, he decided to trust that feeling.
He even briefly considered accepting the idea of a pig and naming him Harry Porker or Peter Porker, after the anthropomorphic Spider-Ham from Marvel Comics.
Then he immediately discarded the idea.
Once Peter finished all his projects, he took a few minutes to create something that could help the kids. The entire process took him no more than thirty minutes.
Leaving the room, he headed upstairs.
Once there, he started looking for the girls and the kids. It took only a few seconds to locate them because he could hear their voices coming from the living room.
When he arrived, he found the girls happily interacting with the kids.
"Before you spoil my daughters any further, both of you, come here."
His voice immediately drew the attention of everyone present, earning him smiles from all around.
"So young, and I already have a daughter," Susan said dramatically.
Missy and Yuri quickly joined in.
"I hope you're prepared for when my father finds out you gave him a granddaughter," Missy said. "He'll want to castrate you first and then ask how you managed to give him one so quickly—and why she's already so big."
Peter ignored them.
"Look, this is a bracelet," he said, holding one up. "It partially suppresses the DNA responsible for your animal-like appearance. Once activated, your fur, extra limbs, and skin pigmentation will shift toward a more human appearance."
He glanced around.
"By the way, where's Caesar? Yuri?"
"I don't know. He said he'd be here soon."
"Hmm."
Peter took a breath.
"BOY!"
For several seconds, he waited.
Then Caesar appeared from around a corner wearing clothes that fit him much better, making Peter assume he had taken some of his old clothes.
"Well, since you're here, I'll explain the same thing to you that I explained to your sisters."
Peter held up the bracelets.
"These will help you look more human. Put them on."
He handed one to each of them.
"Now place your thumb in the center. The bracelet will take a small DNA sample so no one except you can use it. Once that's done, turn it clockwise to assume a human appearance and counterclockwise to return to your normal form."
After Peter finished explaining, all three followed his instructions.
The moment they placed their thumbs against the center of the bracelets, they winced as tiny microneedles pierced their skin and collected a small DNA sample.
Once that was done, they continued following Peter's instructions.
Little by little, their appearances began to change.
Caesar and Selina's fur retracted, while Itsy's extra arms gradually withdrew into her body.
Fortunately, the transformation caused no pain. Caesar and Selina's arms, eyes, and tails changed without discomfort.
When the transformation ended, Peter was not the only one surprised.
The girls watching the children were equally astonished.
Caesar now had the appearance of a handsome young man, making Peter puff out his chest with pride.
With enough training, the boy would become a top-tier womanizer worthy of the combined legacy of Peter Parker and Dick Grayson from DC Comics.
Selina, surprisingly, looked like a younger version of Ana de Armas, possessing a strange but balanced mixture of sensuality and innocence that somehow reminded Peter of both May and Susan at the same time.
Itsy, meanwhile, resembled a young woman Peter did not recognize.
Even so, he could see a certain resemblance to Missy in her features: beautiful, cheerful, strangely affectionate, and endlessly curious.
Their human appearances closely matched their voices and general features.
Once the transformation was complete, all three immediately hurried toward a mirror in the living room and stared at themselves.
Pure surprise covered their faces.
Peter and the girls looked equally astonished.
After that small transformation, Peter explained everything to the girls. He also told them that the kids would begin training in the not-too-distant future.
He spent the next few hours surrounded by an atmosphere of pure entertainment and calm, which took up most of the midday.
When the clock struck two, Peter told the girls and his children that he would be gone for a short while, working as a volunteer deliveryman.
That earned a few chuckles from the girls.
Peter got into his car, which he had disguised as a red Chevrolet, and set off toward a specific address to deliver the first package.
....
Time Skip.
Before heading to the place he had planned to visit, Peter slowed his heart rate until it was low enough to make him appear dead.
Once inside the building, he climbed to the appropriate floor and stopped in front of a particular door.
Using his remarkable ingenuity...and the lockpicks he always carried...he opened the apartment door.
After stepping inside, he looked around.
Nothing had changed.
Peter sniffed the air.
He detected the scent of a woman's perfume, another belonging to a man, and a third mixture of potato chips, onion rings, and fish.
None of the three scents made it difficult for him to guess who was who, especially considering where he was.
Walking toward the refrigerator, Peter opened it and examined its contents.
To his surprise, it contained quite a lot of food.
As he looked over each ingredient, he searched through the countless recipes he had memorized from both this life and his previous one.
Once he selected the ingredients with his eyes, he began searching for spices.
There were quite a few.
Little by little, the list of possible dishes narrowed until only a handful remained.
Finally, Peter decided to recreate a dish worthy of his childhood.
As he gathered everything he would need, he deliberately ignored the person who had just left the bedroom and was slowly approaching him.
When Peter finally turned around to greet her, he was met with exactly the reaction he had expected.
"AHHH!"
