One Week Time Skip.
For the past week, Peter had been working on several projects, and one of them involved three test subjects.
Currently, he was in the cave laboratory, finishing a formula that would leave many people completely astonished.
"The subjects have been sedated and are lying down. We're ready to proceed. How is your work going?" Cortana asked.
"Perfect. I just need to add this solution, and then we can begin. How is the Bifröst coming along?"
The Bifröst was a project Peter had been planning ever since he created Zynothium. For a long time, he had been working out the details and gathering the necessary materials.
It was not until a few days ago that they had finally started building it, and so far, the project had given him nothing but major headaches.
"It's progressing, but the process is slow," Cortana replied.
Peter gave her a grateful nod.
"Okay. With this, we're ready to start the project."
He left the lab and headed toward the testing room, where the three subjects who would receive the formula were lying on separate beds.
"I still can't believe what you're about to do," Cortana said.
"Well, I got the idea after observing Itsy, but at the time, I didn't have the right components. Then I visited Xavier's Institute and asked you to gather all the information available there. After seeing everything you collected, I finally understood how to make it work."
Peter looked toward the three subjects.
"McCoy's formula was a great help. It gave me the inspiration I needed to create this formula, which is partially based on his work. I also incorporated countermeasures for many potentially dangerous Metas we might encounter in the future."
"I suppose we'll soon see the results," Cortana said as she watched the three subjects being injected with the formula.
Once the injections were complete, she moved away from the beds.
"Okay. Give them the stimulus so the formula starts taking effect."
An electric current surged through the connected wires, causing two of the three subjects to react.
"Okay. That's enough."
The shocks stopped.
"We'll come back in a few hours. That should give the changes enough time to begin. I also want you to keep an eye on them."
"Understood."
Once they left the room, Peter headed back to the laboratory to finish creating the things he needed.
Time passed so quickly that, if Cortana had not alerted him that the agreed-upon period had already passed, he probably would have remained there all day.
After grabbing his lab coat, he walked through the metal doors. Catching sight of his reflection, Peter realized that he looked suspiciously similar to W.D. Gaster from the video game Undertale.
When he entered the testing room, he was completely amazed by what he saw.
And he was not the only one.
Cortana was equally astonished.
Approaching the first bed, Peter noticed that the first subject was beginning to wake up.
"My head is spinning. The light burns," the subject muttered, turning away from the ceiling lights.
Then he looked at Peter.
"Dad?"
"Hi, Caesar. How are you feeling?"
"My body aches. My head hurts, and I feel dizzy."
"Yeah, those are side effects. But the good news is that the experiment was successful."
"The experiment worked?" Caesar asked as he untied himself.
Peter nodded.
"Yes. You can stand if you want, but I'd be careful. You've grown, so your balance might be affected."
Caesar nodded.
Peter stood beside the bed to support him as he rose, and the two began walking.
Little by little, it became easier for Caesar to move until he finally reached the point where he could walk on his own.
"Perfect. If you want, you can go show the girls, but introduce yourself first. I don't want them getting scared."
"Understood. I want to see the look on Mama's face when she sees me," Caesar said with a smile.
"Mom? Who's your mom?" Peter asked, genuinely surprised as he narrowed his eyes.
"Yuri... She spends time with me, just like the others do, but she spends the most time with me... Sometimes we play games together."
"Why am I not surprised?"
Peter shook his head.
"You can go see her, but get dressed first. I don't care if you have fur; I don't want you walking around naked. Sony will be waiting outside with a change of clothes. Cortana will open the door so you can go upstairs."
As he spoke, Peter glanced at Cortana, who seemed completely fascinated by Caesar.
Caesar nodded, turned around, and headed toward the door.
Then he stopped mid-step.
"Dad?"
Peter raised an eyebrow.
"When can I go on patrol with you? From the stories you've told me before bed, it sounds fun."
For several seconds, Peter remained silent, simply staring at him.
"First, get used to your new body. Then we'll work out your training."
Caesar nodded and started to leave, but Peter stopped him after noticing something.
"Wait. Your training starts now."
Caesar turned around.
"I want you to start by wrapping your tail around your waist. Keep doing it until it becomes second nature."
Peter pointed toward him.
"Then go ask Yuri where the gym is and find the lightest weights. Start lifting them with your tail, then gradually increase the weight."
His expression became more serious.
"Your tail is your weakest point. If someone squeezes it hard enough, you'll freeze because of how sensitive it is. The shock will leave you vulnerable."
"Understood."
Then Caesar left.
Now that I think about it, his voice sounds like Son Goku's. It must be some strange change caused by who knows what. And his appearance resembles Sun Wukong.
Peter sat on the edge of the second bed and waited for the next subject to wake up.
