MASON'S POV
I walked into the training hall, Jessica gliding at my side like she owned every inch of the place. But today, my attention wasn't on her. It never was.
Then I saw her.
My mate.
Dressed in that ridiculous little gym outfit, hugging every curve she didn't even know she had. And the way she moved like she had no clue how dangerous she looked. Every male wolf in the hall froze, some whispering, some blatantly staring. Their fascination was almost funny… if I weren't so jealous.
Mars lit up in my mind, loud and insistent. Mine! he growled, vibrating through my chest. All of her. Every inch.
I felt a smile tug at the corner of my lips, dark, sharp, dangerous. But also… playful.
I slammed my hand on the edge of the training equipment, making the wolves jump. "Training dismissed," I barked, my voice cutting through the hall like a whip. Every wolf obeyed immediately, heads bowed slightly, sensing the warning beneath my words.
She blinked at me, eyes wide, cheeks pink. "Wait what? Why?"
I stepped closer, tilting my head like a predator examining a newly claimed prey. "You. Are mine. Not a single wolf's eyes are allowed on you without permission. Got it?"
Her lips pressed together, stubborn. "It's just… I was noticing their muscles. That's normal, right?"
I chuckled, low and dangerous, letting the amusement curl through my tone. "Normal? You find their chests more interesting than… me?" I let my hand hover near her shoulder, just enough to make her shiver. "Because if that's the case, we're going to need some… personal training."
Dennis froze beside her, trying not to laugh. Jessica smirked openly, sensing the tension, but I ignored both of them. My mate's gaze flickered between curiosity and confusion and oh, the little twitch of her chin made my wolf growl softly in pleasure.
"Personal training," I continued, voice playful but lethal. "Dennis, prepare a room. She's mine. And I will train her myself. Every move. Every second. She will not wander with her eyes. She will not admire another male. And if she does…" I leaned closer, whispering, "Mars will remind her why I'm the only one allowed to touch her thoughts like that."
Her eyes widened, a flush creeping over her cheeks. "Mars? What what do you mean?"
I smirked, straightening, letting my wolf's possessive energy flow around us like a cloak. "You'll see soon enough."
Dennis's head bobbed. "Yes, Alpha," he muttered, stepping back, while I let my gaze roam over her once more. She didn't faint when wolves shifted nearby. She didn't even flinch. She simply… observed. Curious. Bold. Playful, even.
A chuckle escaped me. So, she's not just beautiful. She's confident too.
"Get your things," I said, still teasing. "Dennis will prepare the room. Personal training starts immediately. And let me make this very clear any wandering eyes will cost you, mate."
Her lips twitched like she wanted to retort, but something in my gaze and the way Mars hummed through me made her pause. She nodded reluctantly, cheeks flushed but defiant in her own way. I could almost hear her thinking, This Alpha is impossible.
And she was.
I followed her down the hallway, Mars purring softly, eager, protective. Today, she would begin learning.
