Chapter 33 - Chapter 32: Explosive Growth — Admiral Kizaru

"Boss, it's like this."

The moment Wesley noticed the confusion in Kingpin's eyes, he immediately leaned in and explained everything in a low voice.

Only then did Kingpin finally understand.

So this Vanessa was Wade's wife.

And she just happened to have the exact same name as his own fiancée.

What a ridiculous coincidence.

Helen Cho: Mr. Fisk has become a Devil Fruit user too? I'm very happy to welcome you.

Wilson Fisk: Thank you, everyone. I'm Wilson Fisk, the user of the Steel Fruit. I hope you'll all look after me from now on.

Wade Wilson: Steel Fruit? That's the one that turns your body into steel, right? Fisk, are you planning to become a statue? Those street performers pretending to be living statues are about to lose their jobs.

A vein on Kingpin's forehead twitched.

So this was Wade—the same man Wesley had mentioned, the one who killed Daredevil?

And this guy's mouth was really this obnoxious?

It had been a very, very long time since anyone had dared speak to him like that.

Beside him, Wesley adjusted his glasses and silently broke into a cold sweat for Wade.

He knew Fisk well enough to tell that he had genuinely gotten angry just now.

Wade was repeatedly poking at the edge of death and somehow still smiling while he did it.

Vanessa: Mr. Fisk, I'm really sorry. Wade didn't mean anything by it. He's just joking around. That's simply what his personality is like.

Thankfully, Vanessa quickly stepped in to smooth things over, and only then did Kingpin's expression ease somewhat.

Even if this Vanessa had nothing to do with his own fiancée, the fact that they shared the same name still felt like a strange kind of fate.

Fine.

For that reason alone, he would give this Vanessa some face.

Wilson Fisk: Mr. Wade is joking. Ms. Vanessa, I haven't taken offense.

Kingpin didn't say much after that. After exchanging a few simple greetings, he directly left the group chat.

Like Wesley, he naturally understood the value of a circle made up entirely of Devil Fruit users, so joining had been an easy choice.

But unlike others, Kingpin had no desire to expose himself too much. Even after joining, he intended to speak as little as possible.

"Boss, Wesley and I will head back now. But another day, I'll bring my fiancée over as well."

After chatting with Rorschach for a bit longer, Kingpin finally said his goodbye and left with Wesley.

"Fisk, Wesley, take care."

Rorschach smiled and saw them out, his mood genuinely excellent.

Between Wesley and Kingpin, he had just sold a total of four Devil Fruits in one go.

That was huge.

Kingpin had really delivered.

And that wasn't even the end of it. Kingpin had already said he'd be coming back with his fiancée next time, which meant another order was very likely waiting down the road.

A premium customer.

Kingpin was absolutely a premium customer.

If only he could get a dozen more just like him.

More importantly, with Wesley and Kingpin's contribution, the sales mission that had been stuck for days had not only moved forward—

it had been completed in one sweep.

"System, settle the mission."

Rorschach entered the system immediately and initiated the settlement without delay.

[Congratulations, Host. You have successfully sold six Devil Fruits and completed the stage mission.]

[The Host may choose one lottery draw, or receive 1000 Origin Points. Please make your selection.]

The system prompt sounded in his mind at once, and Rorschach couldn't help rubbing his hands together in excitement.

But which should he choose—lottery or Origin Points?

That wasn't actually a difficult decision.

After only a brief moment of thought, he made up his mind.

"I choose 1000 Origin Points."

He answered the system immediately.

Right now, his Glint-Glint Fruit was still only at a relatively basic stage. His strength was nowhere near enough yet.

Rather than gaining another new beginner-level ability, he would rather improve the one he already had first.

At the very least, he needed enough power to truly stand firm in this world.

[Congratulations, Host. You have received 1000 Origin Points.]

[Detected: Host currently possesses Origin Point balance. These points can be used to strengthen the Glint-Glint Fruit. Would you like to proceed?]

The system prompt sounded again.

There was nothing to hesitate about.

"Strengthen it."

[Strengthening in progress…]

[Origin Points being deducted…]

[Strengthening complete.]

[Congratulations, Host. Your Glint-Glint Fruit ability has been upgraded to the template level of Admiral Kizaru.]

The moment that series of prompts finished, Rorschach immediately felt a corresponding change erupt throughout his body.

Admiral Kizaru.

Rorschach's eyes lit up on the spot.

That was a true top-tier monster in the world of pirates—a walking monster at the absolute peak.

And more importantly, Kizaru's skills were absurdly stylish.

Stepping on cannonballs to descend.

That iconic line—Have you ever been kicked at the speed of light?

Pure style.

That alone made it worth it.

Rorschach was more than satisfied.

Forget the current stage of the timeline.

Even later, when the Avengers would be running wild across the universe, he would still absolutely count as a top-tier force.

It wasn't even an exaggeration to say he could take on the Avengers head-on by himself.

Aside from a few truly broken monsters, who in this world could stand against him?

Rorschach was in an unbelievably good mood.

Only now did he truly have the confidence to establish himself in this world.

"Oh, right, System."

At that moment, another question suddenly came to mind, and he immediately asked it.

"If I had chosen the lottery this time, what kind of rewards could I have drawn?"

[Possible rewards include Devil Fruits, the three forms of Haki, the Six Powers, or other mysterious gift packs. The Host may randomly receive one or multiple rewards from these categories.]

There were Devil Fruits too?

Now Rorschach was curious.

A person could only eat one Devil Fruit. So if he drew another one, wouldn't it be useless to him?

He immediately asked the system about it.

[Devil Fruits rewarded directly by the system are not ordinary Devil Fruits, but exclusive Devil Fruits specially matched to the Host.]

[These fruits do not suffer from the usual conflict caused by consuming multiple Devil Fruits. The Host may consume them freely, with no numerical limit.]

That was the system's answer.

So he could really eat multiple Devil Fruits?

Rorschach felt even more satisfied.

Wouldn't that mean he could not only turn into light—

but also become lightning?

Or fire?

Just imagining it was enough to get his blood pumping.

At the same time, though, the system had made one thing clear: only the exclusive fruits granted by the system were exempt from the restriction.

That meant the regular Devil Fruits he sold in the shop still carried the normal limit.

Rorschach immediately understood.
