What she said seemed ruthless and ungrateful, but only those who were close to Tara knew what she had gone through to get where she was.
"What do you mean by that, Tara? How can you be so cruel and ungrateful? We are your family, and don't forget, we raised you," Mrs. Logan said with rage.
"Tara, we are family. We need to talk things out, not make it all worse. And look at how you have been disgracing us," Mr. Logan said as he looked at Tara.
Tara scoffed in an unamused manner as she replied, "Look who's talking. The man who dared not show his claws but sure knows how to calculate the benefits without breaking a sweat, huh?"
