[STATUS: COMBAT INITIATED]
[LOCATION: THE NORTHERN BORDER — THE SHATTERED PASS]
[RESOURCES: 3,400 SPIRITS / 50 IRON-CLAD REMNANTS]
[ENEMY: 10th CRUSADE — 1st VANGUARD DIVISION]
The sky didn't just turn gold; it bled light.
Kyle stood on the highest peak of the Shattered Pass, his long white hair flowing behind him like a banner of bone. Below him, the horizon was no longer a line of trees and earth. It was a solid wall of white-clothed soldiers, their silver armor reflecting a sun that Kyle's Crimson Eye knew was artificial.
In the center of the army, carried by twelve giants made of solidified prayer, was the Sun-Breaker. It was a massive, rotating sphere of gold and diamond, humming with a frequency that made the very air crackle with static.
[WARNING: DIVINE ARTIFACT DETECTED — 'THE SUN-BREAKER'.]
[FUNCTION: CAUSAL PURIFICATION / DIMENSIONAL COLLAPSE.]
[THREAT LEVEL: WORLD-ENDING.]
"They aren't here to capture you anymore, Kyle," Malakar's ghost whispered, leaning against an obsidian rock. "They are here to delete the map. If that sphere opens, the Void Asylum will evaporate like mist in a furnace."
Kyle didn't blink. His star-shaped pupil was spinning with a cold, mechanical fury. "They brought a sun to a place of shadows. They forget that shadows are longest when the light is brightest."
He raised his blackened, runic hand.
"Legion of the Erased... Rise."
The ground of the pass didn't shake—it dissolved. 3,400 spirits, invisible to the physical eyes of the Church's soldiers, flowed out of the ground like a tide of grey smoke. They didn't have swords; they had hunger.
"Go," Kyle commanded. "Scavenge their momentum. Eat the friction of their footsteps."
[SKILL ACTIVATED: MASS VOID-SIP.]
As the 1st Vanguard Division of the Church marched forward, they suddenly felt their legs grow heavy. It wasn't mud or magic—it was the spirits eating the "intent" of their movement. Soldiers stumbled. Horses collapsed. The perfect, rhythmic march of the Church turned into a chaotic pile of silver and white.
"Now... Remnants. Show them the weight of treason."
The 50 Iron-Clad Remnants, led by their shadow-commander, flickered into existence in the middle of the Vanguard. They were ghosts in fused armor, moving through the soldiers like reapers through wheat. Their blades didn't cut skin; they cut the Faith-Threads that connected the soldiers to their God.
Every soldier they hit didn't just die; they fell into a state of "Spiritual Coma," their eyes turning grey as their identity was scavenged into Kyle's system.
[SCAVENGING IN PROGRESS...]
[FATE UNITS ACQUIRED: 15,000... 30,000... 50,000!]
[SOUL STABILITY: 30% (STABILIZING).]
From the center of the army, a voice boomed—a voice like the sound of a thousand trumpets. "ENOUGH!"
A man in crimson and gold robes stepped forward from the Sun-Breaker's platform. He carried no weapon, but his presence alone made the 3,400 spirits shiver and retreat.
[TARGET IDENTIFIED: CARDINAL SOLOMON (LEVEL 78 — BISHOP REALM).]
[SPECIALIZATION: SOLAR DOMINION.]
"You are the Scavenger," Solomon said, his eyes glowing with a blinding white light. "You have built a kingdom of trash and ghosts. Do you think your petty tricks can stop the Light of the Absolute?"
Solomon raised his hand toward the Sun-Breaker. "Focus the beam. Target the Singularity."
The Sun-Breaker began to spin faster. The gold and diamond sphere opened like a flower, revealing a core of pure, blinding white energy. A beam of "Holy Erasure" shot out, moving at the speed of thought.
Kyle didn't run. He couldn't. If he moved, the beam would hit the Void Asylum behind him, where Mia and Arthur were hidden.
"Universal Knot," Kyle whispered.
He didn't tie the beam to a hero this time. He tied the Beam of the Sun-Breaker to the 3,400 spirits under his command.
[WARNING: HOST IS REDIRECTING DIVINE ENERGY THROUGH HIS OWN SOUL!]
[PAIN LEVEL: MAXIMUM.]
Kyle screamed as the white light poured into his Crimson Eye, traveling through his body and out through his shadows into the spirits. He was a lightning rod for the wrath of God. His skin began to crack, leaking purple and black mist. His hair stood on end, glowing with a terrifying, ghost-like radiance.
But the beam didn't destroy him.
The 3,400 spirits, being entities of "Nothingness," were the perfect containers for the light. They didn't die; they evolved. The grey smoke turned into white flame. The spirits of the victims became Soldiers of the Holy Void.
"My turn," Kyle choked out, blood pouring from his eye.
He reversed the flow. Using [Chronos-Rip], he accelerated the energy stored in his spirits and sent it back through the "Knot" he had created.
The beam didn't just hit the Sun-Breaker; it inverted it.
C-C-CRACK!
The diamond sphere shattered. The holy energy inside it, now corrupted by Kyle's rot, exploded inward. Cardinal Solomon's eyes widened in disbelief as his own weapon turned into a black hole of golden fire, swallowing the 1st Vanguard Division in a single, devastating pulse.
[CRITICAL SUCCESS!]
[THE SUN-BREAKER HAS BEEN CONSUMED.]
[LEVEL UP: 71 ---> 75!]
[ACQUIRED TITLE: 'THE ECLIPSE'.]
Kyle fell to his knees, his body steaming. The Shattered Pass was now a crater of blackened gold.
Cardinal Solomon stood at the edge of the crater, his robes scorched, his divine aura flickering like a dying candle. He looked at Kyle, and for the first time, a Saint felt the cold touch of mortality.
"You... you are not a Devourer," Solomon whispered, his voice trembling. "You are an Oblivion."
Kyle looked up, his long white hair covering half his face. His Crimson Eye was no longer just an eye; it was a doorway to a universe where the sun had never risen.
"I told you," Kyle said, his voice a deep, haunting resonance. "I wanted to know what a star tasted like."
He stood up, his runic hand reaching out toward the Cardinal. "It was a bit dry."
