The sun was getting low.
The sky had turned orange and pink, and the ocean reflected the fading light.
But nobody seemed interested in going home yet.
People were still swimming.
Volleyball was still going.
Fred and his friends were still running around.
Someone had started another soccer game.
The mountain of food had somehow gotten even larger.
Takeru watched everyone for a moment.
Then his expression became serious.
"Hey."
Several people looked over.
"Can you guys come with me for a second?"
He motioned toward a quieter part of the beach.
He pulled aside both Gojo's, both Sukuna's, Kenjaku, Nanami, and both Higuruma's.
Once they were far enough away that nobody else could hear, Takeru looked around.
"I've got a question."
One of the Gojo's raised an eyebrow.
"What is it?"
Takeru folded his arms.
"Where's the Sukuna that Yuji had?"
Everyone went quiet.
Takeru continued.
"He isn't in Yuji's body anymore."
One of the Sukuna's frowned.
"…You're right."
Takeru looked toward Yuji, who was still out in the water.
"He was there before."
Nanami nodded.
"But after everything that happened, he separated from Yuji."
Takeru's expression tightened.
"And we never found him."
Kenjaku looked thoughtful.
"If he successfully separated from Yuji, there are several possibilities."
Takeru looked at him.
"Like?"
"His own vessel."
Kenjaku paused.
"Or he could have transferred himself into another object."
One of the Higuruma's crossed his arms.
"Wouldn't we have sensed him?"
"Not necessarily."
Takeru frowned.
"That means he could be anywhere."
One of the Gojo's looked toward the darkening horizon.
"And if he has his full power…"
The other Gojo finished.
"…we have a problem."
Takeru sighed.
"Yeah."
One of the Sukuna's smiled slightly.
"Perhaps he simply went somewhere to enjoy his freedom."
Takeru looked at him.
"Would he really just disappear?"
The Sukuna shook his head.
"No."
That answer made everyone quiet.
Takeru looked back toward the beach.
Yuji was laughing with the others.
The party was still going.
Everyone was happy.
But somewhere out there…
another Sukuna was missing.
Takeru's eyes narrowed.
"We need to find him."
Kenjaku nodded.
"Agreed."
Takeru looked at everyone.
"Tomorrow."
Nanami nodded.
"Tomorrow."
Takeru glanced back toward the party.
"Tonight, we let everyone enjoy themselves."
He smiled faintly.
"Tomorrow…"
His expression became serious.
"…we find Sukuna."
